Kentucky is going to be a solid club this year. It's not a knock.

When, he hasn't played a game for Auburn yet?

WRs are a parallel to Stidham. Inexperienced...

Inexperienced QB and inexperienced Wideouts equals disaster.

Auburn is 2-1 against LSU the last 3 years.

Both at home and both against Less Miles and both of them have nothing to do with the future. Not to mention, that no one can remember the last time Auburn beat LSU at home it was so long ago.

Auburn has also finished ahead of A&M in the SEC 2 of those 3 years and has the exact same overall SEC record.

Again, nothing to do with the future.

This team was easily on pace for 10 wins with a bowl win before injuries derailed that. And showed potential for even more without some coaching mistakes in the first few weeks.

Oops, more lame excuses.

and the same defense (28th nationally).

Again, last year's defense is history and isn't a predictor of the future.

7th in scoring,

Again, last year is irrelevant to the future.

Tons of talent and depth.
DL, LB, and DB units are all ranked in the top 3 or 4 in the SEC.

Again, last year's defensive results are irrelevant to the future. Last year is last year not this year, unless you are trying to delude yourself, which is obviously what you are trying to do.

So Auburn cannot equate future based on the past but LSU can?

last year's defense is history and isn't a predictor of the future.

And now we are being willfully ignorant.

So what in your opinion is the best way of predicting the future.

You won't find a many UGA fans that thinks our o-line will be worse without those guys. For goodness sake, we had a Rhode Island transfer that came in and played. It can't be any worse than last year. We had a tr fr QB that should make the natural progression, and could become really good. We have arguably the best RB's and TE groups in the nation. Our "best playmaker" was 5'7 and 165 lbs, and has been replaced by 4 players 6'2 or taller. Chaney's play calling is blown way out of proportion on the rant.

The losses for UT are being underplayed by y'all. All of your best offensive players are gone, and despite some injuries, your defensive players were still significant that have now left.

That is all well and good but I think this changes the second they get into a rut. It is easy to have this mentality when things are going right in the early games.

Not sure how good Arkansas will be, but no one has transferred from Ole Miss, lots of starters back..those that think they are going to suck just because of all the drama in the off-season...are wrong. The program is f***ed for 5 years easy. But next year, they aren't feeling the pain yet and will relish the opportunity to f*** up the season of a few SEC foes. No one is talking about them because of things that will have very little to do with whether or not they can beat you on any given Saturday. Thus, most underrated in the SEC...this analysis included

Please see Arkansas 2012

Loaded with returning talent. Off season coaching drama and an interim coach...

It doesn't matter what the talent is. The first adversity faced by Ole Miss this season will send the team into "me" mode and them also knowing that staff is a lame duck staff.

Based on fairly recent football championships, I would have to include Florida in Tier 2.

It remains to be seen with Ole Miss. I would consider it a tossup as to whether they'll be tough, or absolute dog shite. Losing your head coach is no small thing. Especially when your team's success is predicated on his ability to dial up explosive offensive plays.

Arkansas saw something similar a few years back. Started the season preseason top 5, but had lost their coach. Everyone said, "just need someone to keep the ship on course" in Johnelle Smith.

Went 4-8 with a team several considered a dark horse national title contender.

And Ole Miss's situation is even worse.

It's all gonna depend on the new guy's ability to keep the locker room stable and having the same ability Freeze had as a head coach. Senior leadership could very well mail it in.

People base their opinions of the SEC relative to Bama and it's current juggernaught. The reason why tier 2 includes AU and LSU is because they are the two SEC teams, at the moment, perceived, yearly, to have the best chance to compete with Alabama. I think recent success of both those teams and the strength of the West gives them another perception advantage as well. I personally would have UGA and UF in tier 2 as well although I do agree with the sentiment that AU/LSU are usuaslly Bama's toughest opponents due to the recruiting prowess and the way both teams recruit specifically to compete against Bama. I think AU also gets some benefit of doubt, right or wrong, due to multiple recent trips to national championship game and the previous couple seasons losses to Bama were pretty much forgiven by the media even before the game started due to QB injuries.
