Mal Moore helped launch the Crimson Tradition campaign, the first major fundraising effort for athletics in UA history. It came in the wake of one of expansions of BDS and it propelled the second expansion that topped out seating at +101,000 with the renovation and upgrade of the facade on BDS.

At the time Bama was on probation, through those dark days Bama could have sat back and waited till the end of probation to kick off a campaign of that magnitude. Yep. That was an incredible accomplishment given the state of the program and the fact that we did all of that with cash contributions and didn't strap ourselves with debt (cough cough Tennessee cough cough).

And I hold to the fact that if we hadn't made all of those improvements there was no chance we would have been able to hire Saban.
