It is, just not as embarrassing as the loss that people will actually remember.

Well you have your offensive line all fugged up and see how well you do against a team like Utah

I'm not trying to make excuses. We lost that game plain and simple, but to say it was the most embarrassing loss is ridiculous. It was embarrassing, but i'd rather lose to an undefeated Utah team instead of wyoming.

No, he actually has a point about the Utah loss. I, for one, believe Utah was totally legit and could have hung around with just about any team this season, but people are going to mention that game a lot more than UT-Wyoming, because UT was already established as a big bag of suck for the season, and Alabama was almost in the championship game.

Well I see his point too, but looking at it as a fan of an SEC team, I see the loss to wyoming more embarrassing. Just like LA-Monroe for Bama in the 07' season. But Utah is a damn good team and our team was kinda screwed up during the game, so I don't feel as bad about it as I did the LA-Monroe game.

actually bama boy utah is quite good and would whip most sec teams that year. you had a good year, and so did utah. the demographics are changing.

I was embarrassed that Ole Miss was actually had a good year in the SEC. That shows you it wasn't a good year in the SEC.

For me the biggest embarrassment was LSU not having a QB almost all season long until Miles had to put JJ in because of injuries to our other QB's. It still puzzles me why any top tier team can find themselves in a place without a good QB. Yeah, but I do understand why it happens. Really frustrating.

I'm saying the Miss. State and Auburn game last year.

Both teams were so incompetent on offense they could not score against each other.

How about State having negative yards rushing against us. Great for the Ole Miss defense but so sad for State's running game.

On a national stage, I'd say it was Alabama losing to Utah. The SEC was 6-1 in bowl season going into what I figure had to be the biggest "lock" for the conference of the bowl season. Getting outplayed so badly was embarrassing.

I'd personally give it to UT losing to Wyoming. I mean hell, it's WYOMING, and at home I think!

Alabama was one of the best teams in the SEC last year and they got dominated on the national stage by a school from a non-BCS conference. Forever changing the argument of non-BCS schools in the BCS game and potentially the BCS Championship game.

Agreed 100%. If you're talking about what is worse for the conf. Alabama was the top of the SEC, and lost to UTAH. Same as Georgia losing to WVA, Gave WVA credit for years in the eyes of the pollsters. Just like Au getting whipped by USC kept them from getting to the MNC game the following year.
I'd argue the Tenn's loss to UCLA was worse for the SEC than Wyoming. At the time of the loss to UCLA, Tenn was judged as one of the better SEC teams, but by the Wyoming loss, they stank and everyone knew it (except Vandy)

In basketball, having LSU do so well in the conf is horrible for the SEC (lost its 3 best non conf games, including losing at home to Xavier-who is barely in the top 25).
That being said, I'd still rather LSU had BAMA's year in football, and I bet BAMA wishes they had our year in basketball

Worst Season - LSU after the MNC...worst in 60 years.

Worst Game - UT against Wyoming at home. Almost as bad as the Bama ULM loss the year before.

Worst coaching debacle - Auburn and it's not close. If any team wants to turn a bad situation into an absolute cluster frick, this is the blue print.

Worst let down - Georgia

While the Bama Utah loss was bad, they were a very solid team and should be given some credit.
The total losses for the two teams that beat Bama is 1, so that's not too bad.
