Understand, I'm talking SEC culture. Regardless of lil brother, underachievers, never achievers, 38 MNC's, academic standing, whatever; you can pretty much throw most schools in a hat and they all look about the same (Florida is a slight outier here- jort wearing Florida trash and yankees are a bad combo).

But LSU? They bring a ton of flavor to the SEC and have street cred to burn- they just go about it differently. Redneck cajuns kick arse. Even the food is spicey and unique. Hayull, even their coach is crazy as a shat house rat.

I'd probably feel differently if we played them every year, but LSU is my SEC#2, I might even have a little mancrush on them. Every trip to BR has been spectacular. Fans are awesome, and certainly passionate.

They've got more song/ dances than an Alpha Psi step-show. And when LSU comes to Athens, they bring it. Out of sheer respect I have NEVER spit on an LSU fan. When I see one I spit to the side like Snoop Dog dumping a Colt 45 off his front porch for his lost brutha. That guy in the purple and yellow pimp suit that fell down the stairs was drunk, I didn't push him, and you can't prove anything.

Vandy- really smart, great school. Pretty much the opposite of LSU in every way....and every other SEC school.

So not "do they belong", or "are they SEC good", but who's culture further from the typical khaki short, game day polo, croakie wearing, fish hook on hat SEC fan?

And yes, football season can't get here soon enough.....

1) Missouri
2) Florida
3) Vandy
4) A&M
5) LSU

Arkansas is probably in there but they live up in the mountains so most of us never encounter them in the wild

Easily Vandy. They're the sole small private school left in the SEC when they once had good company with Tulane and others. They are clearly the cultural outlier. Plus, they are one of the few schools situated in a major city.

They have the largest student population that isn't from the geographical region where the school is located. You have as many kids from Ohio & New York as you do from Tennessee.

We are very SEC, maybe more than anyone.

The SEC is known for being traditional and having weird priorities. We are that on riods.

You mean woman's khaki shorts from Anne Taylor Loft.
Woman's khaki shorts, croakie's, and a bowtie is the true southern sodomite look.

Its true though, UGA fans love LSU culture.
