It used have Florida as one of its top rival games. Would love to play Aubutn yearly again

I would too. I actually think Auburn has played Florida more times than Alabama, due to AU and UA not playing for so many years due to politics.

LSU Arky always goes down to the wire. Maybe it's not bitter, like all the other teams who were playing for almost a century now, but saying it's not intense is foolish.

Close =/= intense.

LSU-Arkie in 2005 was very close (19-17), but was one of the most lethargic performances of the season. 2008 was another close one (31-30), and was an absolutely shitty game to watch. 2010 (31-23) it looked like LSU players would rather not have even gotten out of bed. 2012 (20-13)? Come on! I have seen very few games between LSU and Arkansas that I would describe as "intense", even though many more have been close.

2001 and 2002 were intense. 2006 and 2007 were intense. 2009 was intense. Most of the rest were poorly played by players who appeared unmotivated regardless of how close the games were. And the fans seemed even less so.

Most of the LSU-Arkansas games remind me of the 2014 LSU-Texas A&M game. Sure, it was close, but not intense.

No offense to Arkansas, but I've never thought of that as a rivalry. The SEC tried to create a rivalry there and it really didn't work out, although it was a good idea but for whatever reason the rivalry just never took.

LSU's rivalries with Ole Miss and Alabama "feel" more like rivalries than Arkansas.

I believe A&M will become LSU's main rival in time. That series feels like it could definitely develop into a great rivalry in time.

I would argue that a few of those games were intense, even if they were plaid sloppily. I don't think I'd characterize LSU's performance in those games as lethargic even if they weren't playing as well as they should have been. But if the fans aren't in it, the team isn't in it. It really is that simple. The 2013 game was not intense until we started rallying when Mett got hurt, but once the fans got in it, that game was intense. If the fans on both sides actually took it seriously then it would have become a great rivalry. Anyway, now we're all just going to have the same attitude as A&M. Same story, different team.

They can correct me if I am wrong, but I'd sum up Georgia people's feelings in this way

Florida - deep, seething, irrational hate
Georgia Tech - laugh at
Auburn - brotherly dislike
