We own Tennessee. Not much of a rivalry.
ETA: If it weren't for the hillbillies that populate that campus we'd have already renamed it UF North Campus. We won't sully our good name though.

Bama, obviously, sees the Vols as their top and only rival. At least that's the banter every time we touch on the scheduling topic in B'Ham.....

Arkansas and LSU are usually some of the most bitter, intense games. It reminds me of the border bash between UGA and USCe in the Spurrier era

They are one of our 2 rivals, yes.
Has been that way for roughly 75-80 years. Sorry that you pisses you guys off.

We have played UGA 93 times. Auburn would be our second biggest rival, as we've played them 83 times. Hell, Kentucky (66), LSU (62), FSU, and Miami (55) have more games played against us than Tennessee (45).

Based on this board, LSU's #1 rival is definitely A&M.

Huh?
That game is almost always one of the least "intense" games of the year. Auburn-LSU is MUCH more intense and bitter, not that they are really a rival for us, either.

The games are always good, but it got stuck in the Thanksgiving hangover slot. That really killed a lot of momentum for fans.

Why does LSU have Little 8 rivals, compared to the the other Sixers?
Do you need me to get you a map?

You just run along now and enjoy your little pseudo-rivalry with the Little 8ers...

We have been loving playing Florida the past 6 years.

Last two years notwithstanding, LSU Arky always goes down to the wire. Maybe it's not bitter, like all the other teams who were playing for almost a century now, but saying it's not intense is foolish.
LSU-Auburn isn't what it used to be. Since 2010 the only game that hasn't been completely one sided is that 2012 abortion of a game. Early 2000s LSU-Auburn was definitely a good run with the wild games and the cigar thing, but it's not what it has been recently. Those games were the two top West dogs going at it. That's not the case any more, and until it is again it won't be the same.
LSU got screwed with the rivalry thing. Tulane and Ole Miss were respectable programs when everyone started forging rivalries. And then ours went to shite while everyone else's stayed relevant. Now it's a couple of generations later and LSU is in no mans land when it comes to rivalries.
It's a shame the Arkansas rivalry was never embraced on our part. Arky can troll all they want they care about that game. And there's nothing wrong with that. I think there was really some potential there. And hey maybe if the Saban thing hadn't happened we'd have paid more attention to them over the years. I dunno. The past two arse whoopings sure put them in a lot of LSU fans heads now. I have always thought it had the potential for a great rivalry. But oh well, now they're trying to make Aggie work. We'll see how that goes. I haven't been able to hate Aggie like I have Ole Miss, but Arky sure comes close. I guess we'll see.
TL;DR LSU-Auburn is dying, LSU-Arky is underrated.
PS UF seems to be heating back up with Mac at the helm. I've always enjoyed this game too.

LSU wants to be our rival so bad

Honestly, who gives a shite about rivalries? Tennessee, do you like having to play(and lose to) Alabama every year just because they're your "rival" or would you rather play someone like Auburn or Mississippi State?
