Something big is brewing in Gainesville.

Oh, and if this isn't a funny coincidence...

Did he complete 50% of his passes last year?

In all honesty though, I thought he had talent when they beat us in the bowl game but he fell off the map after that with Kizer taking his spot.

I still don't get the move for y'all though, he isn't a fit for McElwain's offense. He's far more suited for a spread option attack a la Ohio state.

I realize that. Then Kizer came in and Zaire never got his spot back.

Try to keep up.

Zaire may be decent for a season but long term QB is going to be a problem. Bammer is pretty much the only team that can get away with QB transfers and/mediocre play and that's because their team is so damn talented they don't need to rely on their QB to win ball games.

All that said, I do think Zaire will be a good addition for UF.

They guy hasn't thrown 100 passes in his entire college career and you guys act like he's the heir apparent to the Florida Heisman QB legacy. This will do nothing but piss off Felipe.

Backup to Feleipe would have been Luke Del Rio, who has had 3 shoulder surgeries this offseason.

Third string is Kyle Trask, who had knee surgery this offseason.

I'm not saying we did this only for depth, I'm sure Zaire is coming in expecting to be the guy, but when you look at the roster and the unknowns about the status of LDR and Trask if Franks were to go down, it makes sense to grab a talented transfer that can make your team better. That being said, I do think Zaire and Franks share time at first and gradually Franks takes over the full time roll as the season rolls on.

Well it sounds just like our fans over in the Tiger Rant when talking about Myles Brennan. It is what it is...
