Wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see UK, Fla, and UT all fall:

Florida is gonna get crushed. We'll be much better come January once everyone's back I hope.

The only good thing is the way Wisconsin plays old man basketball, getting crushed usually equates to losing by 12.

Go check out the tiger rant. The meltdown is wonderful. If they lose, it will only get better.

Is it too early to bump the threads with "LSU will be a final four team this year" type content in them?

BTW: This is a good UMASS team, they were picked to finish in the bottom half of the A10 this year.

Most people think we are a tournament team that can win a game. Sweet sixteen would prob be a dream season

Looks like you could be, you rely heavily on the 4/5 positions for offense it looks like, so you just need to look on the schedule to see who can make you change your game plan.

UMASS is week down low, but have done a good job on both ends of the court, their guards have played better.

Depends on the match ups in the tourney any more.

Looks like LSU wants to play uptempo, but doesn't really have the depth coming off the bench to keep the starters fresh.

But LSU fans told me that was not the case.

Seems like LSU is not adjusting to the new rule changes of the hand checking.

it was the first game breh/ losing our top recruit 30 seconds into the game obviously had an effect on the post depth. jordan mickey is going to be really good though.

Watch out Mizzou. SIU is a sneaky good team. I could see that a close game.

20 fouls in the first half on our team, not to mention Jarell getting hurt in the 1st minute of the game. Also JOB didn't play the majority of the 2nd half and we still almost won

I get it. But some of your fans were saying how deep this team is. If you are deep, then the Martin injury should not hurt you vs a team like UMass.

Also, LSU better learn to hit FTs.

i dont think jones was going to put a guy like malone out there in this type of game. the depth will get better as the season goes and we can get them some minutes against cheesedick state and such.
the fact that geert jr. played as many minutes as he did is surprising so that is good for him.

yea we still suck, stringer is the only good foul shooter. i really wish hickey could hit them because he'd be so much more effective if that was part of his game.

So I was correct in saying LSU did not have deep bench of talent.

Quit bitching of the fouls. Teams have been warned all summer refs were calling the bumps and handchecks. Teams going to have to stunt and mover their feet.

UMASS was projected to finish 7th in the new A10 that is significantly weaker than last season.

I was looking more at the guard depth, but I understand LSU will cling to anything to blame the loss on and an injury and the refs is always a convenience.

S, I like your assessment of LSU. I think Jones has LSU on trek. Need a tad more talent to make a run in the SEC.

We aren't Kentucky deep talent wise, but we are loads more deep than we have been in recent years. You act like we lost to a horrible team, UMass has a good chance to make the tourney this year and our team still has a lot of growing to do
