Can I just put them tied with y'all. Polk and MSU brought baseball to the SEC. I think y'all should be tied with LSU too in football.

I agree with that

I'd replace Arkansas with LSU in basketball, though.

Look at the records over time. Arkansas had a 5 year run in the 90's and have been mediocre otherwise.

Other than that, its good.

A national championship helps Georgia's argument a lot. Where do you draw the line between 1 national championship with limited CWS series visits and 9 visits with a runner up. All time I would have say its a tie considering what Polk did for Basball as a whole. Georgia is going to be good in the coming years. Great stability with the current program IMHO. It's seems like everyone in that organization is bought in and ready to progress every year as a team.

That may be the most uneducated analogy I have ever seen on this site.

I know right. You would need more runner ups.

How is being the runner up 9 times any different then the Bills losing all four of their Super Bowl appearances?

You justify ranking MSU ahead of Georgia based on being the runner up 9 times. How about you win one first champ.

I haven't followed SEC baseball until I got to college.

It seems that Vandy has always fielded a decent team, would you put them in over Bama for baseball?

Yea they do. Not by much, but they are ahead by now. We need at least another SEC title.

I wouldn't. Bama is 5th behind LSU, USC, MSU, and UGA. I think Vandy only has one CWS appearance.

AU has a better baseball program than Vandy.

No, 2011 was their first and only trip to the CWS. They're better now than they've ever been and set the record for most SEC wins last year, going 26-3.
Unfortunately they lost in their Super Regional as the #2 national seed.

yeah, they've fielded good teams since the mid 2000s. Prior to that, they had made a total of 3 NCAAT appearances. And with all the success they've had recently, they've still only made the CWS once

We have more wins, final fours, elite eights, sweet sixteens, appearances, etc. than LSU. To say we've just been mediocre other than a 5 year span is ridiculous. To say we've been way worse than mediocre since 2000 is 100% true, but Arkansas basketball was a Top 10 program from the mid 70's to late 90's.
