The question is mainly for Carolina and A&M fans since you guys have faced both. Other opinions are welcome.
I think UF has better back 7 while LSU has a slightly better front 4. Overall edge to UF because of superior Lbers and much better secondary.

We had 6 turnovers and held a good Georgia offense to 17 points.

LSU has a better defense.

LSU gets more pressure rushing only four so they can be more dominant in spurts. But Florida's secondary is stout.

Much better secondary for Florida? That's a stretch

Really Impressed with the UF secondary. I think they have the best in the country. Nasty CB tandem and Elam is playing lights out.

I'm just now impressed with the LSU secondary this year. They lost too much in Taylor, MO, TM7, and Brooks. Simon is not the same caliber player of his predecessors and Reid has been outplayed by Elam imo. Loston is a huge down grade compared to Taylor as well.
LSU hasn't played a team with a passing game to test them yet. A&M had some success, but JFF is not a good passer.
A team like UT would drop 30 on LSU imo.

Scoring Defense:
4. Florida 9. LSU
Total Defense:
3. LSU 6. Florida
These are the most basic stats, but there's a horrific one.
Red Zone Defense:
25. Florida 115/116. LSU
I'd give the edge to Florida.

30 may be a stretch, but I do know that LSU has nothing that compares to Alabama @ Tennessee 44-13 (3 after starters removed). LSU allowed passing powerhouses North Texas, Idaho, and South Carolina to get 2 passing touchdowns apiece against the vaunted LSU secondary. There may be more to the problem than just who was lost.

Florida creates turnovers, so I have to go with them.
At least they did for our game.

What about LSU defense would you say was better? I thought A&M moved the ball well, the turnovers obviously were killers. A&M offense definitely has gotten better since their 1st game vs UF though.
