Every game in the west will be a war this year. It's impossible to gain any notion of who is the best in west until more games are played. Ole Miss looked good for sure but so did Bama, Arky, Auburn for the most part, and us. State seemed ok but took a step back and I'm sure LSU will be salty.

Gonna be some great games this year.

Amen. The West is even tougher than last year.

Agreed. No one needs to project too much off of one week's work. It does look like we might have a good QB though and if we do, then we could be very dangerous. There's no question that we can win the West, but so can 5 other teams!

To be honest I thought Ole Miss was the most impressive of the SECW teams on the weekend, even if the victory came against Little Sisters of the Poor. We all knew you'd have a stout defense again. Kelly being nails has to scare people. I'm starting a covert mission to get Kelly tanked up at every available opportunity.

After week 1 last year, I would have bet money aTm was going to be in the playoffs. You played a terrible...terrible opponent. Play someone & then you'll have an idea.

The overhype in Ole Miss will be strong this season.

10 different players scored 11 touchdowns. You gonna ask our third stringers to take it easy on UT Martin? Good luck, they're trying to earn pt.

Ole miss and Bama will be a battle. But OM played nobody and knows nothing about their team. Bama played a ranked opponent and could have won by 35. I'll take Bama at home in a night revenge game 10/10 times.

True. I'm more of the, win then talk type of guy. First game didn't tell us much. Yes all 3 QBs played well but it was UT-Martin. Yes Kelly gave us some hope but who knows what the remaining weeks will look like. Fresno State will be a step up with competition so it will give us something else to see with what we have. Do I think we can win in Tuscaloosa? Yes but I am not going to shout it that we will. It will be a tough task and I believe whoever loses that game still has all the potential to make the playoff.

Memphis will beat the Black Bears this year at the Liberty Bowl. Mark my word. I will be optimistically anticipating this one.

You do realize you beat UT-Martin, right? As in FCS-middling level UT-Martin. The same UT-Martin who lost to Jacksonville State by something like 4 TDs last year.

They played great, but so did Aggie last year against the chickens

We'll see what OM can do when they face DBs with a pulse. Cause their running game isn't worrying anyone. Same for Aggie, stout secondaries shut shIte down when there's no running game

By far the most Mississippi State post of 2015, optimistically hoping Ole Miss loses every game while ignoring their own team's massive deficiencies

Well done sir

Way to over-react OM. Last year it took a miracle to beat Alabama with the best team Ole Miss has fielded in 50 years. The fans rushed the field and little pieces of the Goal Posts are now shrines adorning desks and walls all over Ole Missville. Beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa in a revenge game is going to be 100 times tougher. I'm betting Alabama will be a the prohibitive favorite.

actually, that's not true. it took a horrible non call by the REC(referees) to keep Bama from getting their asses beat by 2 touchdowns....lets try to keep it real.

They scored 10 offensive points the entire game ... Derrick Henry averaged 2 yards a carry.
