2011 and 2008 Alabama. That 2008 team was something special and losing that SECCG was the death blow. After that they didn't want to play anymore and that was confirmed by the shitty showing at the Sugar Bowl against Utah.

I danced on my couch when he dropped that.
2 weeks later, I flipped it over when David Greene hit that pass in the back of the end zone to beat Auburn and clinch the division.

2001 Florida was damn good, watching them beat the ever living shite out of us in tiger stadium was one of the worst game experiences I've ever had

2011 Bama

1972 AU (or 1993 but I have never really not thought of the 1993 AU team as NOT being the SEC champ)

1984 UF - vacated SEC title that year, but there was no doubt UF was the best team, probably the best team in the entire country

1983 UGA - Only loss to national champion AU and turned around and beat #2 Texas in the Cotton bowl

2006 LSU - easy call. Probably better than the 2003 and 2007 LSU NC teams

Those really stand out to me.

LSU 1969, 1971, 1982, 1987, 1997, 2005, 2006, 2010

But especially: '69(9-1,7th); '87(10-1-1,5th), and '06(11-2,3rd)....

1999. Finished 10-2

Both losses were very close games.

I've never understood why LSU fans remember their 2006 team so fondly. They lost two games, and, if I remember correctly, had several other close games.

I understand that they may have been talented, but lots of super-talented teams underachieve - just look at any USC team from 2005 to 2008 for an example.

LSU fans suggesting that their 2006 team was better than their 2003 or 2011 teams are crazy.

I'm no LSU fan, but that 2006 teamw as pretty good. They just had a brutal schedule. They had to go on the road to play 4 top 10 teams if I recall correctly (Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, and I think Tennessee was ranked in the top 10 when they played). They went 2-2 in those games and that team set up a good foundation for the team that won the NC in 2007.

I would say 2001. 1990 was more deserving since they actually proved that they were the best team on the field (same as 1985) and were screwed by the SEC. But the 2001 team was pretty talented. 1984 doesn't count because we actually did win the conference title and were awarded the trophy (later to be rescinded by the scumbag Presidents led by the hillbilly from UT). Not that I am bitter or anything.

Because LSU had 4 first round draft picks.

First, there is no way the 06 team is better than 03 or 11.

Second, Once Keiland Williams got more playing time, the 06 team greatly improved.

Third, LSU ended 06 on a very high note. Beating SEC West Champ Arkansas (which was a great game) and dominating Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.
