So you think 1995-2019 was such a huge difference? Maybe some, but not so much that they can’t be compared.

so we are going to suck off Scott Frost this early on a Wednesday?
Not the best team "ever"....best team that year.
There have been several teams since then that would boat race there arse.
Several Bama teams over the last 14 years. A couple of LSU teams including 2019. Hell even perhaps an OSU team or two. Clemson a couple of years. UGA might even have one or two.
Big fish in a small pond. You ain't really up if every one else is down, your standing on a midget's shoulders thinking you're a damn giant because you see over everyone's head....but you are still standing on a fricking midget.

1995 Nebraska strength of schedule: 24th
12 wins
Nebraska had 6 weeks to prepare for 1 game
Nebraska had 6 players drafted to the NFL
Nebraska 1st RD draft picks: 1
2019 LSU SOS: 6th
15 wins
LSU had to play in the SECCG, semi-final and NCG with less time between games
LSU 14 players drafted
LSU 1st RD draft picks: 5
Sorry, it's the 2019 Tigers and it's not even close.

2019 LSU
2020 Alabama
2022 UGA
Would all beat 1995 Nebraska by 30+.
You can't compare teams of different eras that way. You have to compare them against their competition at the time. With advancements in sports science, nutrition, strategy, etc. the more recent teams would always win. Hell, the 3 teams you listed could also likely beat the first several Super Bowl winners.

95 team was just loaded with big defensive and offensive linemen…. No one could do much if anything vs them . Nebraska defense was light years better than LSU and their offense was close to LSU.Not to mention UGA is the second best team ever not LSU ….
Also please stop posting other teams records a lot of you guys have no clue how good those teams were back then… It makes you look foolish and stop comparing them to teams from the sec now ….. because back then and now doesn’t equate not matter how hard you the sec was or is … just pure speculation Nebraska teams back then were stock with more talent than todays teams …

Not necessarily in athleticism but in offensive and defensive schemes. 1995 Nebraska coaches wouldn’t know how to handle a Joe Brady offense.

Knowing UCF I can't tell if this is a joke or you really mean this.. I know some UCF fans that actually would agree with this take and believe UCF was the true national champion in 2017

horseshite.
1995 Nebraska’s receivers were Reggie Baul and Clester Johnson. Neither had a cup of coffee in the NFL. Anyone want them over Chase/Jefferson or Smith/Waddle?
Tommie Frazier accounted for 2,270 yards his senior year. Burrow had 6,000+ and Jones 4,500+. They had way more upside.
Lawrence Phillips was a major headcase who ran over a Florida defense that didn’t have anything higher than a 3rd rounder in the next three drafts and HC who didn’t know or care much about D at the time. Once he got to the NFL and wasn’t playing Kansas anymore, he couldn’t handle it. Meanwhile, Najee Harris is entering his third year as starting RB for the Steelers.
2020 Alabama OL had two first round draft picks and a second. No one on 1995 Nebraska’s OL went higher than the 3rd round.
The I formation is not some magical fricking scheme that allows you to compensate for talent deficiencies. In fact, it’s one of the last things you want to run if the opponent is better than you. There’s a reason Nebraska scored 50 on Kansas every year but struggled against strong defenses.

I do.
What a lot of people don’t consider regarding Nebraska’s I formation days is that they always struggled against elite defenses. Prime OU, Miami, and FSU owned them with players like the Selmon Bros., Bosworth, Casillas, Cortez Kennedy, Michael Barrow, Ray Lewis, Derrick Brooks, and Jonathan Vilma. They didn’t score 62 pts. on those motherfrickers. In 1995, OU was rock bottom and Florida’s defense was tissue soft. The road was easier for Nebraska than it had perhaps ever been.
I’m not saying 1995 Nebraska sucked, but they did NOT have to beat an elite team in the regular season and played a bowl opponent far less suited to defending their style of offense than the teams that handed them 7 straight bowl losses from 1987-1993 and damn near 8 in 1994.

Which day did they have a “good enough” bad day? Beat 7 - top 10 teams. #ncaarecord
