That I’ve ever seen…..

The best team relative to their competition was 95 Nebraska

The best assemblage of talent in their era was 01 Miami

19 LSU, 00 AL, or 21 UGA would beat either because of the size, weight, physical conditioning, and Nutrition of this era. The avg man is 30lbs heavier and faster than their positional counterpoint 20 years ago.

I think with current rules 2019 LSU prob wins. If you de-puss the sport back to when you could put kill shots on QB’s and WR’s a Georgia or an 2015 Alabama type team prob wins.

It’s hard to compare between eras.

2001 Miami would have gone 9-4 if they did not score an offensive touchdown.

1988 Prichard Al Vigor. Best High School team I ever saw.

1899 Suwanee won 5 games in 6 days traveling by train over 2,500 miles. They went 12-0 and recorded 11 shutouts, outscoring all opponents 322-10.

No other team comes close to this record.

You can't say any one team. Here's the breakdown...

Bama's 2020 coaching staff
LSU's 2019 passing game
Nebraska's 1995 running game
UGA's 2021 defense

Put all that together and you'd have a team so monstrous, I'm not sure an NFL team could beat them!

The 1995 Nebraska football team is the best team ever. The closest game was 14 points.

Your wrong. By your metrics you just used to make a case for 1995 Nebraska I will use the same concept snd say the 1951 Vols team is the greatest ever. That 1951 Vols team did not give up a single point in the regular season.

14-0 vs NC State
40-0 vs Sewanee
28-0 vs Chattanooga
21-0 vs Alabama
17-0 vs Mercer
20-0 vs LSU
34-0 vs Citadel
13-0 vs Vandy
19-0 vs Kentucky
7-0 vs Auburn

Safe to say this is a record that is untouchable.

The 1938 Vols team did not give up a single point in the regular season.

There is a reason that Bear Bryant called Neyland the greatest coach ever.

All those big mean midwestern foes to collect zero injuries. .

Tommie ended up getting hurt by a blood clot.

Not Keith McCants.

As for UCF. UCF couldn’t even knock burrow out of a game. Really just made want to dominate.

That 2020 Bama team was the best team I saw since the ‘95 Nebraska team. 2019 LSU was a great one too though it took them a minute to get going. By the end of the year, they were as dominant as any team.

If you mean which team would win on a neutral field at this moment then Nebraska isn’t close. If you judge them relative to their 1995 opponents then I think they have a very strong claim. Beating a prime Florida coached by Spurrier like that to win the title is probably the best postseason performance I can think of

That isn't the 1951 results. I don't know where you got it from but that isn't 1951.

Tennessee lost in the Sugar Bowl to the equally undefeated and untied No. 3 Maryland Terrapins, but the postseason games were not taken into account by the major polls. Tennessee, Michigan State, and Illinois all claim national championships for 1951.

That was a really good Spurrier led prime Florida team too.

Nebraska made them look like a high school team. It was unbelievable.

Those Nebraska teams were the best thing that ever happened to Florida and Tennessee. They wrecked us and both got gud.
