Yeah LSU playing against Oregon OOC that year was more than likely the best OOC win for the sec.

And they beat WVU. And kind of hammered both of them. That was an all-time team, just happened to be the same year Alabama had an all-time team too.

Heck, 2011 Arkansas would have had a shot in other years as well.

We averaged 4 yards a play and we played Oregon and West Virginia that year.

That is just retarded, both of those teams were great.

2011 LSU is in another stratosphere of college defenses.

Our 2011 D was better. We played Oregon, West Virginia, and Georgia but gave up only .8 more yards per play than Bama did. Y'all played a mid-Sandusky Penn State, North Texas, GSU, Kent State, and Vandy. 2011 LSU D>>2011 Bama D.

They get lost in void of the incredible 2011 LSU and Bama teams.

They were really good.

What's funny is by far the worst game Alabama had was against Georgia Southern and the option

Kent St - 1.29
@ Penn St - 3.64
North Texas - 2.68
Arkansas - 3.83
@ Florida - 4.27
Vandy - 4.42
@ Ole Miss - 2.71
Tennessee - 3.10
LSU - 4.12
@ MSU - 2.22
Ga Southern - 7.41
@ Auburn - 2.55
LSU - 2.09

LSU's defense was meant to outmaneuver, outrun, and run circles around other teams' offenses. An insane secondary made that team great.

Alabama's was built to crush teams and slowly squeeze the life out of them as the game went on. Alabama's linebackers is what made that team great.

What does that have to do with the comparison of defenses?

Meh, there's no doubt, what LSU's defense faced was better than what Alabamas faced.

Pretty sure you guys didn't hold the #1 team in the country to under 100 yards and 0 points ;p

Georgia's 2011 offense was not great. They were fine, but nothing special. They were 56th nationally in YPP (5.63).

West Virginia and Oregon were very good

Well that's even more amazing for LSU considering that they played Oregon and West Virginia. Edit: Also an extra game against a 10 win Georgia team.
Don't argue with the gumps...they are the best in pumping out their titties...

It was still an extra game against a solid team.

Arkansas? They barely beat 2-10 Ole Miss.

They were 3rd in the SEC and 39th in yards per game and 33rd in points per game.

Sure was, but if the list says the gumps are #1, then SummerofGeorge will post a thread about it...
