Katz is the starting first sacker.

Turner is very solid behind the plate. He is arguably the best in the league

Katz was a great sport about all the heckling we gave him in right field last year, and he seemed to feed off of it. He became my favorite non OM player after that weekend.

From the Gamecocks I would nominate:

Tanner English for OF. He's made some incredible defensive plays and his hitting has been more than solid. He got on base 10 times in this past series. He's hitting .421

LB Dantzler for 1B. Hitting has been even better than last year. He's hitting .545, 13 RBI's, and 3 HR's and making the plays on defense.

Tyler Webb for P Closer, 0.0 ERA, 4 strikeout and only 1 hit in 3 innings.

Closer - Johnathan Holder
SS - Adam Frazier

Add Renfroe to this list at RF. Guy has a hell of an arm..don't try to outrun his throws cause he'll hose you everytime

Holder laughs at this

Try 11 strikeouts against 13 batters. 0.0 ERA and 0 hits

I'm not sure about other catchers in the SEC but Ole Miss' catcher has been phenomenal so far (although he has gotten some help from the umpires on a few people trying to steal)

Greiner's a stud. Altho I haven't seen this guy in action & the Ole Miss ppl on this board have been raving about him.

A lot of us were expecting big things out of him but he's been phenomenal so far. I haven't seen an arm like his in a long time. The guys he's been throwing out haven't even been close to safe.

That sounds like what we thought of Greiner last year, unfortunately for him I don't think he's had a chance to throw anyone out this season. No one has even tried yet in our first 6 games I believe.

Holder is not only the top closer in the SEC, he's the top closer in the country.

But Greiner is proven, he and our other catcher didn't have a single passed ball in the NCAA tourny last season.

That's Dante Rosenberg. Greiner came in highly ranked nationally. However, Rosenberg has made this competitive. Rosenberg is actually hitting better than Greiner right now.

The left side of UGA's infield are the only people we have that would have a chance at making a case.

Anyone know what happened to Rea? Is he nursing an injury or something? I'm not complaining though, Detz has really stepped up.
