LSU beat the national champion and two BCS bowl winners in 2011 all away from home

LSU. The schedule was rediculous and we still dominated almost every game

Bama could have played this schedule twice and gone 24-0 and it still wouldn't have been as good a season as 2011 LSU.

Including the post-season LSU beat every single team on their schedule.. and if it weren't for 21-0 they would be considered one of the top three teams in CFB history

No they wouldn't. LSUs 2011 offense basically sucked. It is the worst offense for a team with that record in history.

Had that team won the title it'd be a stretch to even be a top 10 all time team with that offense.

11 LSU had a better regular season but what does it matter? 16 Bama will win a natty while 11 LSU fell short

Edit: To clarify LSU beat the conference champion of most of P5 with what ended up being fortuitous scheduling while 16 Bama just played your average schedule. Fair or not it proved that 11 LSU's offense was good enough to score on anybody but everyone's favorite team Alabama

2011 LSU had the most impressive regular season of any team ever.

11 LSU. They managed a win over the best team in the country despite getting outplayed and had a very difficult schedule for the rest of their games they dominated.

LSU 11 because they faced a harder schedule.

Bama 16 gonna have the better postseason of course.

They finished #17 overall in scoring offense (35.7 ppg).. and played the following defenses.. #1,#1, #16, #20, #23, #33, #36.. and #52, #53, #61, #78, #96.. average rank 39ish.

2016 Bama for comparison.. #13 overall in scoring offense (40.5 ppg).. faced the following defenses.. #37, #6, #5, #10.. and #100, #87, #84, #73, #97, #70.. average rank 57ish..

That's not even mentioning that the SEC is garabage this season compared to 2011 There's only 1 team in the SEC with less than 4 losses this season and it's Alabama. 2011 SEC had three teams in the top-5 and four in the top-10. 2016 SEC has one team in the top-10 and two in the top-15. Not comparable. LSU played 4 games against opponents finishing in the top-5.. without a playoff..
