Henry has much more potential than yeldon

It's our addition of 2 more 5* backs in this class that makes our backfield truly obscene next year

Going to be some awesome backs in the league next year.
For the most part it still boils down to OL play. A good OL will make an avg back look great. Bad OL can make a great back look avg. I will let everyone come up with their own examples.

You make get to see what Trey Williams, Tra Carson, & Brandon Williams really have with Johnny gone and an inexperienced QB. They have 13 stars between them.

UGA
Todd Gurley
Keith Marshall
Chubb #1 rb out of GA 2014
Michel #1 rb out of FL 2014
Brendan Douglas
JJ Green (might move to db)
If it gets better than that, educate me because I'm clearly stupid.

I agree with this. UGA loses 3 starters on OL. This will be an issue.
Gurley, however, is the only running back I've ever seen in my many years of watching football that seems to find/make holes that don't otherwise exist.

The 5* RB talent in the SEC next year is beastly.
Almost every team has a top shelf elite RB with some schools having multiple. Bama, UGA and TAmU have the most #s. LSU will be nasty with Hill and LF, Au system will put up huge numbers with their guys.
Would one of the recruiting nuts list all the 5* guys in the SEC

Melvin Gordan and James White from Wisc rushed for over 3000 yards combined this season. Gordon is the better of the 2. Whoever Wisc has playing with Gordan next year will probably help that tandem rush for over 2700 yds next season. They'll be the best RB tandem in the country.

Alex Collins/Jonathan Williams Part Deux. This time with better QB play and a less Petrino-y, more Pittman-y offensive line

I'd say Alabama with Yeldon/Henry/Drake, LSU with Hill/LF/Magee, and Georgia with healthy Gurley/Marshall are all pretty stout.

this! i feel like many people will start the season overlooking our running game but this trio can be very dangerous. Walton is just like jeff scott, and mathers is tough as nails

I'm not going to start a pissing match here, but if you were to give your backs and our backs a 1-10 grade on their talent and add it all up, we'd edge you out.
Mainly because of the strength of our 3-7 backs compared to yours, but there isn't a more talented backfield in the country overall than the one at alabama. And I realize how much the rant hates to hear that but i'm just saying

Nobody cares about your 7th string RB when you only use 3

At best you could call it a draw... Yeldon underperformed this year compared to expectation, yet so did Gurley. Gurley was playing on a serious injury that, in hindsight, shouldn't have been playing. Close people to the program say Gurley probably wouldn't have played again this year until Marshall tore his ACL, then we were kind of fricked. In that sense, your 3rd and 4th string rb's are probably better than ours in 2013, but in 2014 our 3rd and 4th string guys will also be 5 star with the introduction of Chubb and Michel, along with your loss of AK47.
