Honestly does the rushing title really even mean anything in hindsight if you didnt have the most yard

Are you joking? So a player that plays 15 games and a players that plays 13 should be gauged on totals?

He was 4th in the sec in qb rating and 32nd in the country. Not mediocre. But hey im a lsu. 127 qb rating isnt mediocre to me.

It did every other year. AND HE DID IT IN ONE LESS GAME. Love freaking people who can't admit this guy would have easily been over 2000 in the regular season.
Besides the fact he had 2165 on 300 attempts 100 less than Henry. With 27 TDs. To top it off he had 250 TDs receiving.

The guy was just better. And barring an injury, he'll break more records this year and the NFL will draft him in accordance of his value - which will be in the first round.

This argument is as old as freak. Ask Saban who he would have rather had as a RB and I guarantee you he says Fornette like every other coach in the country.

Geez

Was LF even invited to the heisman? Who won Doak walker and every other rb award this season?

Translation:

LF would have two, possibly three Heismans, at Alabama.

I just believe the Rushing Champion title should be based on who had the most rushing yards that season instead of who averaged the most per game, thats just my opinion. Yes theres a game discrepancy as DH had more games than LF, but that doesn't always equate to who gets the most yards that season. For example, Nick Chubb played less games than TJ yeldon but he had more rushing yards than him.

Where did I say that at ? Calm down dude why do LSU fans get so mad when others talk about LF. He is good dude okay no one can deny that I just think DH is better thats one persons opinion its not a clear cut fact. God sorry Im not as big on LF as you are but thats just one mans opinion.
Now on who Saban would rather hand the ball off to: a lot of our RBs either got hurt or transferred that year. I would figure he would have wanted someone who is durable who can handle the load of carrying over 40 times a game and I believe DH is more durable than LF again dude just my opinion so don't get bent outta shape over it

Anything written in a positive light about an RB not named Fournette is considered the most grievous insult towards the LSU fan base.

Like god okay we know the guy is good, may be a top draft pick we get it, but I swear one guy has an alternate opinion on LF and they act like you said screw the bible

I would submit Kevin Faulk, but there are many great RB's that came from the SEC.

Fail - he wouldn't have needed 40 carries at Bama like LSU. First and foremost his receiving yards would have been a hell of a lot more at Bama. Our QB can't thrown a screen for shite and LF is a great reciever. Secondly, he did have ton of touches per game, but his YBC was more this averaging more yards per game that Henry.

I still believe even with Harris, had Moore and the 310# TE doesn't get hurt, we smash everybody like we did those other teams. Why the NCAA denied his eligibility probably because of crying by SEC office.

Henry's season was better than LF. This is not debatable.

. This is not debatable.

FIFY Fornette won the rushing title despite EVERYONE playing 8-9 man fronts thanks to our poor QB play. 2400 yards and nearly 30 TDs in 2 less games

There is a lot of self sucking Gump action in this thread. Henry was good, but I don't think he was great. Just my opinion on him though.

Henry had a great 2015, but he's not a great RB. He won't see a third contract in the league.

Hard to say because those two separate themselves by such a large margin.
Those that I have watched that could all claim some spot after them:

James Brooks
Shaun Alexander
Emmitt Smith
Kevin Faulk
D. McFadden
Tony Nathan
Charles Alexander
Tre mason
Garrison Hearst

George Rogers- this may be the closest thing to those two. Had he played for clemson or an SEC power, he would have gone down as maybe the best college back ever.

It's hard to leave out Robert Edwards too. His overtime performance against auburn in 96 is still maybe the best I've ever seen.
Had Goff not played him on defense and not kept trying to get Patrick Pass the ball, I'd like to have seen what edwards could have done.
