Its definitely up there. Impressive how AU has gotten their fanbase to rally around Pearl.

Pearl's got magnetism. Considering the putrid state of their basketball program before he got there + Gus Malzhan's nerdy personality in contrast to Pearl's dynamic persona; fans couldn't help but get excited to back a guy like CBP.

A coach with a pulse who aggressively markets the program. Dale Brown and Will Wade were those guys. McMahon is their polar opposite. LSU has never invested much in its basketball program. We have to have a coach who wins and gets the fans excited about the direction of the program in spite of that. A new arena would certainly help, but we've needed one for years and our AD has no interest in making that investment.
