Whether the unsung hero or most critized man on campus, who you got this year?

Mevis is already preseason All-American in at least one publication. Probably the best player we have this year

Anders Carlson could be if he returns strong after injury, we also have the #1 HS kicker behind him.

Auburn might have one of the best Special Teams Rooms in the SEC, our Punter is a stud too.

Never understood why these rarely seem to work out. Should to be a position that would be easy to evaluate.

He’s gonna need to keep his knee iced between punts, if he has time.

It's as much in the head as in the leg.

Place kicker is an extremely mental position. I would say most power 5 kickers have somewhat similar physical attributes, distances they can kick. What separates 1 from the next is simply the mental part of the game.

Yes you will have some guys with the ability to do ridiculous kicks like from 60+, but the vast majority of power 5 kickers can all kick a ball really far with some accuracy in practice.

It's when gameday hits if they can hit them in pressure situations.

You’re most likely stuck with Drink for two more years. Hopefully the talent on paper that he’s brought in doesn’t transfer before then so you can find someone to develop them.

Will Reichard is, in the last 2 years:

- 155/156 on XP
- 24/25 inside 40 yards
- 10/14 from 40-49
- 3/4 from 50+

And single handidly destroyed the curse of the Alabama kicker.

I just hope we fixed our FG kicker problem.

Guy cost us 2 or 3 wins last season. A reliable kicker and we would have won 10 games

seems like Auburn generally has had elite kickers and punters the past 20 or so years.
