Every fan base says this about every outlet if said outlet isn't blowing them.

Then when crazycarlsspoets.com says you're amazing that's some how relevant

Aggy at five. Nice.

This is all fine and well, but last year our DL should have been nicknamed the Maginot Line. The Magionot Line was hard to go through, but once the Nazis got around it, there was nothing left but cheese-eating surrender monkeys.

Our LB's have got to earn their stripes this year.

Aggies can't stop the run but are listed at 5. Seems legit.

I know they have to include teams from conferences other than the SEC to increase their readership, but Michigan, Utah and Texas A&M??? Give me a break!

The Utah thing seems odd. He still only list like 3 big time players for them.. That's nice and all, but it's hard to imagine Utah has a better D-line than every SEC team not named Alabama.

but I admit, I don't know their team.

Stopping the run requires linebackers...something the Ags have lacked. The DL is stacked with talent and is deserving of the #5 spot.

He listed all 4 starters. It's a very strong group. Are they better than LSU and A&M? Who knows?

All four of those guys have started a shite ton of games started and all of them are NFL prospects. I think you would be hard pressed to make an argument against them.

Does this ranking mean Michigan's DL would hold up against even the 8th ranked SEC offense? No... and they wouldn't come close across an SEC season schedule. But against the B1G slow-mo-show, they will look good.

Phil Steele has 7 SEC DL's ranked in his Top 8. 1.Bama, 2.Mo, 4.aTm, 5.ut, 6.Arkansas, 7.Florida, and 8.LSU. Has Michigan at #10

Auburn Tigers-

DE- 5* Carl Lawson, 4* #1 JUCO Paul James III
DT- 5* Montravious Adams, 5* Derrick Brown, 4* Antwuan Jackson
DT- 4* Dontavious Russell
DE- 5* Marlon Davidon, 5* Byron Cowart

Doubt many other teams could put together a 2 deep on a 4 man front that talented

Has anyone claimed Auburn had no talent?

I have no expectations, period. Last season ended that for me.

The Hogs will be amongst the best. IMO

ehhh no. When Tevin Beanum is still one of our best DE's then amongst the best is not happening.

Agim and Wise will be a nasty duo and Ledbetter trying to play the role that Philon did for us 2 years ago will make up a formidble trio, but the depth isn't there behind them and we don't have top end NT's on the squad despite the potential of Bijohn Jackson.

For us to have any chance at a pretty good season the DL has to play up to their potential. Play like last season and we'll be pounding keys in fury again.

I'm guessing Josh Frazier would be starting NG had he decided to stay in state. I think he will have a big year at Bama this fall. Bert needs to keep these in state guys at home.

Of course, Fox would have a B 1 G team #1. I'd have noooooo problem if their prognostications this year are as accurate as they were last year.

Nope. His work ethic was questioned while in HS. He'd be riding pine pretty much everywhere in the SEC. Even Kentucky has better options at NT.

Only one season of Chavis, and we already have a better defensive line than LSU. Am I shocked? No, of course not. But every swamp kitten the world is butthurt beyond belief.

You probably won't get much negative comment from Alabama fans about anything pertaining to Utah.

Yet our defensive line rankings shot up without Chavis..

Think about that. We went from bottom of the league in sacks to top 3 in only one year of Ogeron and we stopped the run far superior than you did..

Chavis still getting ran all over..

LSU finished 25th in overall D in yards per game.. (347)

and our secondary was not even up to standards.

Texas a&m 51 overall (380)

LSU was 18th in the NCAA in sacks with 34

Guess how many sacks a&m had? 34..

Guess what.. LSU missed out on an entire game versus a cupcake.. otherwise their stats would have been even more impressive.

In comparison LSU was 103rd in the NCAA in sacks in Chavis' final season at LSU with 19... 19...

That is an increase of 15 sacks in Orgeron's 1st season.. Now he's getting his players.. AND with 1 less cupcake game!

LSU was 17th in NCAA rushing D (122) 3rd best in the SEC
A&m was 107 in NCAA rushing D (213) last in the SEC?

So yeah, the ignorance on Chavis and LSU is astounding.

I fail to see how a&m has a better dline when we have a superior D line coach and we both had the same amount of sacks with LSU having 1 less game.. and LSU stops the run far superior.

So a&m has a couple of talented prospects.. LSU has better depth heading into this season.. especially if Valentine gets back.
