LSU neutralized him. I mean, Anthony Jennings ran for 100+ yards because the guy couldn't stay home. Seriously, Anthony Jennings. Look at the box score, watch the YouTube vids.

One of the better OL's in the SEC was effective against a true freshman?
Wow, color me shocked.

Correct which is why I put Barnett ahead of Garrett.

It was worse than that. Much worse. He got manhandled on BOTH sides of the line. He couldn't stay home against the read option. Again, Anthony slow-arse Jennings ran for 100+ yards against A&M, and 90+ of them happened because Myles All-World Garrett came crashing in on the back.
Another poster pointed out that Garrett had only 3 sacks against SEC competition. This is true. It is also true that only 3.5 of his 14 TFL came against SEC competition (noting that 3 of his 3.5 TFL were sacks, this means only one other shared tackle).
See a pattern? Garrett was "gameplanned" out of games last year. Not just by LSU. By almost every SEC team A&M played.

Did he get neutralized or manhandled?
You can't seem to make up your mind.
You seem very interested & invested in A&M's players...
would you like a campus tour sometime?

The guy at A&M that got 95% of his sacks against rice and Sam Houston's of the world

Those terms aren't mutually exclusive, ftr.

I'll go with Barnett.

I'm watching that game on SECN right now. I've seen at least 3 holds (closer to tackles) that would have easily been sacks. It's the first half.

Garrett would easily be the best defensive line player on the LSU roster

Lael Collins and Vadal Alexander destroyed Myles Garrett last year

You could say that for pretty much any elite pass rusher during most games.

1. Floyd/Jenkins/Carter
4. The rest
4. The rest

Lawson is gonna wreck shop this year, and be a very good pro IMO.

I don't think anyone stands out that much. Maybe Barnett, but I didn't catch a lot Vols action. By the end of the year there'll be fresh names dominating this conversation.

Garrett is going off on SECN vs. Auburn

Normal holds, I would agree. But, there have been multiple of these kinds (linked) that are typically not missed.

Against Lamar and Rice? No doubt.
