talking pass rushers. not 3-4 ends. i guess 3-4 OLBs could be considered too.
Barnett, UT
Lawson, AU
Garrett, aTm
Jones, MSU
others?
what do you guys think?

If you're playing a shitty non-conference team from Texas, I'd take Garrett. Dude is relentless against those 250 pound offensive linemen. I mean really, really, gets after them. Rice and Lamar are still trying to stop that man.

The Auburn LT is also still hanging onto Garrett by the ankle.
They won't get to hold like that this year without a flag.

Potential Alone? Garrett
I don't think he's PROVEN it yet.
But the man's a freak of nature. Undeniable.

Barnett is the most proven and best player right now but Garrett has the most potential.

Garrett runs a 4.47 40 and gonna hear his name called early in the NFL draft.

Not sure if Jon Allen counts because he plays End in a 34 (though he'll probably play it in 4 man lines as well), but he'll be there after this season.
Other than that, you have a good list.

Barnett or Garrett. There's no one else at that level.

He's so undisciplined and he cannot stack up against the run. He's a pure specialist at this point, would be a third down player on a team with actual depth.

Garrett is a man child that will play on Sundays no doubt, but he did only have 3 sacks against SEC squads. Barnett had all 10.5 of his sacks last year as a true freshman against SEC opponents. Both are freaks though.
As of now it is probably
1a) Barnett
1b) Garrett
Any school would be fortunate to have them.

If we're talking pure pass rushers, you have to have Leonard Floyd in the conversation.

Could you possibly hedge any more against your actual opinion? I think this is a vote for Barnett.
