That's some impressive revisionist history. Having us join is the only reason lsu athletics isn't as broke as the rest of the school. Be glad that daddy was able to bail you out again.

The movie NAILS what the West Texas Friday Night Lights experience is all about, from the fricked up priorities to the hope instilled in each generation. As someone who went to high school in Odessa Texas it rocked me to my core to see it all on a big screen, with that Explosions in the Sky soundtrack.
The TV show is just fanfare to the sport of football. It does nothing to analyze or critique that culture. It is Glee for football fans.

Sure. Vandy is the best, then the AAU tier (Mizzou, UF, TAMU), and then everyone else.
I wouldn't try to cut us down about being second tier, because academically LSU is third tier at best on the same scale.
