If it wasn't for my horse, I never would have spent that year in college.

Don't be hating on DiNardo, he wasn't that bad, just made a bad DC hire (the aforementioned Lou Tepper iirc). Also, if not for DiNardo, Saban wouldn't have ever gone to LSU or Bama)

The topic would be a decent off season thread if BHMKyle would do a spreadsheet of say 3 eras of coaches (leather helmets to scholarship limits to current) containing all the pertinent stats. Go Go BHMKyle!

So the 10th best coach of all-time has a career record of 109-95, 4 bowl appearences, 2 conference titles, and 1 national title.

You've compiled the most nonsensical list imaginable. It is beyond comprehension.

why?

You're insinuating they would have beat UT in 01 if the game weren't moved to december, which may be the case. But they still would have had to face miami in teh title game and nobody was beating miami that year.

Hayden Fry and RC Slocum but no Mack Brown

If you are going to put Fry, Sherril and Slocum you should put Mack Brown and Fred Akers
