I'd probably put Alabama behind Tennessee and Missouri as well, based on what those two have done on a national stage.
Bama maybe #6 or #7 in SEC basketball pecking order

He actually swapped Michigan with Alabama in those rankings. Notice that when he manipulated the data and swapped schools, that he forgot to swap the notation that went with Bama's entry as well (see below):
quote:
Won-Lost-Tied % total games
1 Alabama 915 328 36 .729 1279
2 Yale 884 362 55 .701 1301
3 Notre Dame 882 310 42 .732 1234
4 Texas 881 346 33 .712 1280
5 Nebraska 874 361 40 .701 1275
6 Ohio State 863 319 53 .720 1235
7 (T) Oklahoma 850 317 53 .718 1220
7 (T) Michigan had 8 victories and 1 tie forfeited by the NCAA during the 1993 football season. Alabama had 21 victories vacated by the NCAA between the 2005-2007 football seasons.}} 850 325 43 .716 1218

Go to Wikipedia and look at "list of ncaa football teams by wins" and tell me what you see.

Why are you using Wiki to begin with?

That's all this cat uses.
In his basketball wins argument, he was using Wikipedia from 2011-2012 to justify Alabama had more wins than Arkansas all time.
He is quite the ignoramus

5. Mississippi State
6. Alabama
Baseball....I'd say...

2. South Carolina

4. Arkansas
5. Florida
6. Vanderbilt
7. Alabama
8. Ole Miss

This is best all time and if you are going to count Arkansas, then only the last 25 years of SEC should be counted and all past titles go away therefore Vandy would be 3rd in baseball

All time wins were used in a previous argument in this thread.
we can count from 1992 to 2014....but that still doesn't help Alabama any as LSU has more Final Fours, as does Arkansas, Florida, Miss State, etc.
Either way, Alabama is down the pecking order in both basketball and baseball.
