Dedeaux, Auggie and Skip could be 1abc. Someone mentioned Martin, as much as I love Mike, Andy Lopez is above him.

ETA: I hate Mike Martin

Dedeaux is the easy answer. Dude won 11 titles and 5 in a row. Fun fact- he took an annual salary of $1 from USCw over the 40 years he worked for the university. He had a very successful trucking business.

Is it true Dedeaux cheated his arse off with a lot of the revenue from the trucking business?

I didn't mean it as derogatory. I'm cool with cheating in collegiate athletics

I can understand that, but Skip made the CWS 11 times, in his 18 years, and only missed the tournament twice. And it's not like LSU was a power when he took over.
Not to mention, 5 titles, in 10 years.
And I'm not trying to discount Augie's accomplishments, at all. His longevity, at a high level, is very impressive.
I don't think there is a right, or wrong answer, when deciding which is better. It's JMO, that Skip is better than Augie. I still say they are only fighting for 2nd best.

You'll get creamed for making that comment but you are right. I remember a discussion about them years ago with some baseball guru and he said something to the effect "It was pretty evident it was going on. Many of those guys just blew up so fast with well sculpted bodies and it turned a lot of heads."
Every college baseball player was taking steroids like M&Ms. Skip wasnt the mastermind behind this
