Sumlin. Won a conference as tough as the B1G and won the same number of bowls.

Lulz

1. Big 10 >>>>>> C USA

2. KS never won C USA. BB has won the Big 10 3 times

3. Sumlin had a losing record in C USA once. BB never did in the Big 10

South Carolina hiring Lou Holtz in the late '90s?

This may be the best answer.

Tuberville?

Was 25-20 at Ole Miss before being hired at AU. Ole Miss was his first head coaching job.

Urban Meyer was 39-8 as a head coach when UF hired him. He had also won a BCS bowl, unlike Bielema.

I remember when he was hired. Notre Dame and Florida were both vying for his services. He was the hottest and most sought after coach in college football at the time. This is your correct answer.

And Bielema has nothing on Meyer.

I'll accept that even though Urban had less HC experience and that experience was 2 years in the MAC and 2 years in the MWC as opposed to 7 years in the Big 10. The BCS Bowl win by Meyer is huge, and may be just enough to put his resume on equal footing as Bielema's, although it's arguable.
