quote:

Bielema, who is in his third year at Arkansas after spending eight seasons as Wisconsin's head coach, proposed the idea of a "Big Ten vs. SEC Challenge," similar to what college basketball does now with the "Big 12/SEC Challenge." Bielema's concept would consist of ranking all 14 teams in both conferences during the preseason and matching them with their respective nonconference counterpart for a game that season.

Read the article for more info. What do you think about this? I think it's an interesting proposal. If it was scheduled well out in advance I don't believe it would be that hard to make it happen.

Who is the B1G #2 that Arkansas would play? Michigan? Mich St?

It's a great idea but I don't know if it will happen since big ten goes to a 9 game conference schedule next year.

Will never happen, Florida would be required to play an OOC game outside the state of Florida for the first time in most of the posters here's lifetime.

No it is not. Scheduling a few home and homes every couple of years is not the same as this proposal. This would be every team in the SEC plays a team in the BIG TEN in one season. Or any other conference for that matter.

So Bert can lose to Purdue? Why do we need that.

Before a single score is posted, keep in mind LSU's non-conference record under Miles.

Don't talk crap about a team you can't beat. It's kinda stupid and annoying.

So we get to go play in shitty big 10 venues in the least fertile recruiting ground in America? And in exchange we get to give the B1G exposure in our footprint?

Pass

It can be any conference, but whatever. If playing Tennesse Martin every year sounds better to than you than that's fine.

Pac12 maybe. Otherwise pass

Big difference between not wanting an orchestrated conference challenge and wanting to play Tennessee Martin btw buddy

I would rather play a big ten team than UTM. And the SEC would do fine.

I'd welcome it. Doesn't (or didn't) the Pac-12 and Big 10 do this?
