LOL at Bama nation getting all bent out of shape because he merely suggested he might be a better back than Ingram.

Ben Tate is tearing it up at the combine.
But can we please close the book on the "best RB in the state" crap. Ben Tate and Mark Ingram were both outstanding, but Ben Tate is gone now. And with him, the conflict should go as well.

LOL at Auburn nation for posting every stat about Tate in the combine, as some kind of strange comparison to Alabama's sophomore running back Mark Ingram.

You should go ahead and lol at LSU fans as well because if you take a look at the Tiger Rant, you'll have a similiar situation. It's called wishing a player success and watching his stock rise.

Leave out the last line in the OP about Ingram, and take out the "best RB in the state" comment from the other thread title, and I'd believe you and say congrats. But its obviously some sort of deep-seated need to compare Tate to Ingram.

I'd believe that if almost every thread on Ben Tate didn't claim him as the best back in the state of Alabama when in reality the Tide has two RBs better than him.

If so, barring an injury to Mario Fannin, he will probably be the second string every down back. He'll get work when Fannin needs a rest.

I think he'll be utilized in year 1, but I'm not sure exactly how. Our coaching staff isn't even sure how the RB situation is going to shake out yet.

For the record, not once have I ever said Tate was better than Ingram. I"m a big Ingram fan, love the kid.
I just love the way Tate ruffles the feathers of so many bama fans by suggesting he's a better back. How dare someone compare themself to Ingam.
