I dont think it is LSUs fault that Marquette isnt good. We still have our stage to show the Nation that we are going to be for real in Brooklyn. Notices will be served.

Watched and played my whole life. This is the deepest LSU team and probably the most talented since the hay day of the 90s for us. Just know one thing, we have alot more than just Ben. He is the center piece to a ton of long range shooters and can shoot the lights out, and we play very scrappy defense.

There are also some other very good teams in the SEC right now, much less the country with a lot of the same qualities. Vandy, A&M, and UK have all looked good against their OOC competition to this point.

I don't have the time to sit and list for you the teams in college basketball who have had the best player in college basketball that season that didn't win a championship though. Or even a conference championship.

As I said earlier, we'll wait and see what happens. Claiming championships and matchups this early in the season will get your mocked later on. Just don't be one of the fans that cries when it doesn't go your way after talking so much shite.

Thought it was the Meters (as a group), but we all know why you picked it.

Robert Palmer?

By that I meant I'm not gonna start hyping this team 2 games in. I'm confident, but wary. Doesn't change the fact that you're being miserable

Ah, so if you don't suck off Simmons and LSU you're "miserable". Or point out the fallacy in one of your fans talking shite in the middle of November.

If you can't handle your fellow fans being called on their bullshite, maybe you're the one that needs to re-evaluate things.

I think you're a little off base this morning. OP simply is excited for a young talented LSU team. No one has predicted a national championship. God forbid a fan be a fan on a board for fans!!

It's not LSU's fault, but they did schedule a Marquette team that was below .500 and got worked in league play IIRC. I just meant that tempering your expectations after that game might be the right way to go, especially after this football season.

And Nc St and Arizona St are equally as bad right now.

Yeah the only prediction was "going in dry". Making actual predictions about postseason success is ill-advised because it's such a shitshow.

Great player, just too bad it's for such a pathetic fan base. Seriously, most of you guys pretty much suck at life as fans. The biggest "wait 'til next year group alive".

Wonder if his Godfather stays at LSU once he moves on after this year.

This is from the OP:

quote:

We will beat Kentucky this year. We play them twice and will at least win 1 of those if not both.

quote:

We play Nc St or AZ St also. Plus you prolly losing to Duke tonight. So good luck

From the first page.

Don't try to spin this as a "Oh he's just excited for the team" deal. If he wants to talk shite, then he's going to get shite back.

You don't have to be every LSU fan's nursemaid when someone does.

Coming from fans who break out in riots and burn down towns/citys after winning basketball games. Thats great

You should expect this level of response after the recent downfall of King Buga and his court.

Didn't y'all make the final four in 2006?

Yes. This team is much deeper than that team.

It would be premature to say that this team is better than that one. However its certainly deeper and possibly more talented but its in different spots. 2006 had big baby and tyrus down low. Dmitch, temple and taz were solid players 1-3 but IMO Tim Q, Antonio Blakeny, sampson, Hornsby, gray, Patterson are far better. Simmons is living up to his billing and is playing the 4/point forward role he has the height to get rebounds we will see how he defends against true post guys. Elbert has shown progression but we really need victor to be solid and hold down the 5.

Its early but in todays game I think we will do quite well.
