This "dynasty" is 1 national title appearance loss and another appearance. If they go 0-2 what kind of dynasty is that?

Kinda like when USC tried to claim a dynasty for winning 1 national title in 04.

He's right. Wilkins got 4 and now they're trying for a full fist against Bama. We're in uncharted waters right now.

Well, you'd have a point if he had said they are a dynasty. But he didn't.

It's like the Bills dynasty that kept losing in the SB

Guy - Hey y'all, I'm building a house! Got the foundation laid last week, with the lumber coming this weekend.

This board - HAHAHAHA! HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE WALLS YET! THAT'S NOT A HOUSE! WHAT AN IDIOT!

Ok, well I don't think they're "building a dynasty" either, typically a dynasty needs multiple titles. Right now they're 0-1 and are likely going to go 0-2.

Making 2 title games in a row and going 0-2 isn't building a dynasty, IMO.

I can see what Boulware is saying, but they are so far away from even building a Dynasty (imo) that it makes his comment funny. Wait until you at least win a NC before making a Dynasty comment

The problem is that Clemson loses a ton of offensive weapons after this season, specifically Watson, Williams, and Leggette to name a few. They may be able to compete again next year, or they could be 9-4 at season's end.

A better analogy would be someone saying they're buying a home but haven't yet obtained financing to close on the property.

No, I understood what he said perfectly. He claims that Clemson is building a dynasty, which starts with these past couple of seasons. Even if they win this next game, does anyone really believe that Clemson will have much staying power? I'm not even sure they'll be the best team in their own division in the next few years.

Also, it's hard for me to take this player seriously when he says he admits to fingering men during games.

No, he says they're building one. It's TBD, but they've won 10+ games 6 years in a row, have won 3 ACC Championships, and have made back to back national championships.

I don't think it's an absurd statement for a player to say they're "building" a dynasty with that kind of ground work. Long way to go to get there, but not a ridiculous statement.

Yes it is. You can't be building a dynasty if you have failed to win a single natty. People were claiming Bama wasn't a dynasty after 3.

A dynasty = multiple national titles. They haven't won one. Beating up on a terrible ACC isn't building a dynasty.

It is too early too tell, but Florida State still looms large in the ACC as well.

Clemson is definitely on the upswing and are becoming a football powerhouse, but the speculation on building a dynasty seems premature.

Alabama is in a league of its own right now --- and Clemson will have to knock them off more than once to make a claim of any dynasty.

The cover of Sports Illustrated called us a Dynasty after our very first NC win under Saban. Essentially the same boat Clemson is in if they win Monday night, except we didn't make the Championship game the previous year. They did.

That was one of the dumbest Sports Illustrated "claims" of all-time

I agree, but it turned out to be spot on. We just didn't know it yet. I remember seeing it get laughed at on this board.

Reading comprehension has gone to shite. I don't know what else you can say to explain it.

The Clemson guy is making overly optimistic claims about the future but he isn't "wrong" yet until they don't do what he says they are starting.

In 1920 the Yankees had no World Series championships. In 1950 the Celtics had no world championships. You have to get 1 before you get 2..3..4..5

A great season = a single family house
A dynasty = An upscale subdivision
