Yeah, there's typically 5-10 teams that are undefeated at this point in the season. A good start, let's see if MSU can deliver as the pressure mounts.
A potentially undefeated Egg bowl on the road? An SEC title game? A playoff game against a top 4 opponent? Another top 4 team in the national title game?
That's a hell of a 4 game stretch to end a championship run.
The toughest games are still to come.

The eye-of-the-tiger attitude getting there is way different than the be-a-champion-everyday attitude that you need to stay there. Most teams can't handle it until they've done it a few times. Bama couldn't in 08' and then after winning it all in 09' had the entitled attitude in 2010. Eventually the teams of 2011 and 2012 got it. Whatever happens enjoy it as long as it lasts. I don't see either Mississippi teams staying there next year.

I would prefer to be jumped and fall back a spot or two after this weekend, but that's just me. I think the feeling of being a little disrespected is a good thing. Reaching #1 is a major accomplishment for MSU, and something I wasn't sure I would ever see. At the end of the day though, the only thing that matters is who makes the playoff and what they do when they get there.
