Welcome - Yes, a common first impression of Auburn fans here is that we don't care. It only seems that way b/c we're the most level headed fanbase on SECr and many of the other fans are over the top.
You should also do an introduction thread on the Tigerdroppings OT Lounge since that is the parent website and it helps everyone on the network keep track of new people.

Auburn fans care about Bama and Georgia a whole lot. A&M fans care about LSU and Texas a whole lot. I'm not sure Mizzou gives a damn about Gus, but Arkansas does, a whole lot.

Considering UGA likes to treat it's admissions like they're Yale, I may have to settle for another school. Ohio State has an amazing - possibly the best collegiate band in the country. And while I play trumpet pretty good (section leader, made district honor band) they are very selective.

Their musical clout may not be for everyone, but I'd put the Aggie Band's drills ahead of those I-dottin' nimrods any day.

So you're in high school or community college or what?
You should consider Auburn. You'll have a lot more fun and it's practically in Georgia anyway.

I do have a lot of respect for A&M being practically the last military style marching band and never caving in to Drum Corps style.
But yeah, OSU has great show designs and formations but I think there are other bands with better sound. It's possibly just the recordings but there's not a lot of support from the low brass. And given that it's an all brass band, that makes the trumpets stick out a lot.
Just listen to Jacksonville State University at their trip to Michigan State. I almost feel bad that they're way too good for their football program.
