And it was all bullshite. Youre dumb if you think Mullen can sustain what he is doing this year. He lucked into a year where he has an extremely experienced team( only one soph starts) and 2 of the perennial powers in the sec west being down. Go check his record against Auburn lsu and bama. Mullen just can't get the horses at Miss st that he can at Florida. You can build florida to be a top 5 team year in and year out. Youre not being honest if you think MISS st can be a a top 5 program every year. They are having a great year, but next year they lose 3 of 5 oline,3 dlinemen, the best lb in the sec , and 3 of 4 starting secondary players.all those players are seniors.

What was it about the two words "right now" that confused you?

Okay let's throw out a coaches previous years and base everthying on one year. Is it too late to hire back Chizik?
I really hope you just pulled that user name out of thin air and you are not really a bama grad.

And I'm dumb? This is utter stupidity. You don't fricking "luck" into a year your sixth year in. Everything he has there he built, not because of fricking "lucking" into a team left for him by his predecessor.

I can't do anything about Florida's decision or Dan's so I can't worry about it nor can I be nervous about it.

He's doing pretty damn well in the west right now, don't you think? I don't see that as an issue. Not one bit

Be honest:

Do you see this being the norm? Seriously, because I surely don't.

Yeah, that's right...bachelor's from Bama. And yeah, right now Mullen is making the SEC west look pretty damn easy. That's the point, not what happened five years ago. Right now. This moment in time. Mullen has his program clicking along. And no, unlike Chizik, he didn't have a #7 and #20 recruiting class left for him by his predecessor. He's built it himself.

What I don't see is him having any more of a chance to be more successful year in and year out at Florida. He still has to play LSU every year, and then also Georgia. Plus, he has to start all over with a program that's an absolute dumpster fire. Two out of the last three coaches there have been failures. Can he maintain this success at MSU? Who knows? What I do know is that success at Florida is by no stretch of the imagination guaranteed. FOr all of the benefits the job offers, there are just as many land mines, if not more, there than there are at Starkville.

That was certainly "minor success" eight days ago.

Good post

But I think he'd be better in the East and at UF

It would just take a while for him to get UF back to where it once was.
