BAMA did their part for top 5 matchup. Auburn can only beg.

The computers love stanford more than the humans do. Your assertion that the "humans dont want to drop them so the ducks dont drop" does not compute.

Auburn is #3 in most of the computers BTW.

Computer rankings:

1. Bama
2. FSU
3. AU
3. Baylor
5. OSU

They might be no.2 in the computers next week because FSU plays Idaho.

Stanford still top 10 with two losses to unranked (at the time) teams, what in the hell?

Because they have 5 wins against (at the time) ranked teams.

Nah, too big of a gap. Half the computers have FSU #1 right now above bama.

Arizona. Will do nothing, a big win wouldn't really change the polls.

If you guys beat Bama, you will jump us no matter what. So these rankings really dont matter right now in the big picture.

ETA - But it is obviously in both of our interests for Oklahoma State to beat Baylor. Texas sure as hell isn't beating them.

Wouldn't it be something if all the necessary stars aligned and AU/UO got a rematch in the BCSNCG?
It's been the only game in recent memory that was ever even close, such an entertaining game.
How amazing would that be?
Wonder if both teams win out, and somehow Baylor/FSU/tOSU lose a game, would alabama stay above Oregon, or would another team, like Michigan State maybe, jump up into the top 2?

Again, that's not how it works. The computers dont care what the ranking of the team was at the time. It takes into SOS to date. Stanford's ranking is because the computers have them at 8. The humans have them out of the top 10.

If, and this is a big IF, Auburn beats Alabama, then I still see Alabama going to Pasadena. Oregon vs Alabama Rose Bowl = $$$$$

Its sad when the big 12 and big 10 are so down that a 1 loss team from the SEC is higher than unbeatens from them in the computer rankings. I mean dont get me wrong, I think its great cause I hate the big 10 and texas 12, but it is a little pathetic.

Baylor will lose. FSU won't. Mich State is the only one that could beat OSU. And they might.
