Please define "taking over"

They aren't recruiting well against us

They can't sell out their little stadium and visiting fans represent 40% of their ticket sales

Well, I reckon that constitutes "taking over"

In reality, Baylor has been a better program top to bottom than TaM for years now.

That has nothing to do with running the state.

What else is there? Recruiting? What good is recruiting if you can't beat baylor with 4 and 5 star recruits....

That's simply not accurate. Baylor sold out of tickets for the entire season in August. I seem to remember seeing a lot of empty seats at Kyle Field vs. Ole Miss and LSU. You can't fill up your stadium against top 10 teams? Sad.

Baylor AND TCU has passed A&M by. Baylor is going to their 2nd consecutive top tier bowl. They won back to back conference championships (Aggies haven't won a championship since the 90s). They built a brand new stadium that's nicer than Kyle Field. They just hosted College Gameday. Their unis are some of the best in the nation. Baylor Football is a better brand than TAMU's, and will be for the foreseeable future.

As has TCU.....

Frankly, Texas will always be Texas and Oklahoma is basically a Texas team.

Agggie for all their talk is probably the 5th best program in the state right now.

In 2011, eventual Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III took his bears into College Station, where they took on a team that blew back to back 3 score halftime leads and were coached by Mike Sherman. The Baylor fan support was overwhelming, failing to sell their allotment of tickets for a game 90 miles south of Waco.

A&M led 24-14 at halftime and was set to blow another 2nd half lead.

Final Score A&M 55, Baylor 28.

Ryan Tannehill threw for over 400 yards and 6 touchdowns, 4 to Ryan Swope, who had over 200 yards receiving.

How about y'all STFU until y'all don't get blown out the water by LSU just once this millennium.

Sad that y'all can't be a little bit competitive vs us!

Baylor is our bitch on the football field

Even with their best team in a 100 years with a heisman winning qb we kicked their arse

Exactly. You know, the whole thing that determines the ceiling for a program.

That is the thing- we don't have to play Baylor. We have to play the SEC, which means we need as many 4 and 5 stars that we can get. They wish they could play us, have a shot at legitimacy.

The committee just said that Baylor, even at the peak of the program, isn't good enough to compete for anything better. That means no matter how good Art gets them in this era, history will not remember them except maybe as the winners of what will one day be a dead conference.

Meanwhile at A&M we have the ONLY surefire way to the playoffs in the state. Win the SEC and we are in. This means we want as much talent as possible, and that we want to "run this state" for recruiting.
