I'm still not sold on LSU's pitching depth, although the pen has improved some as of late.

I think LSU was in the 20-30 RPI area when they were left out in '10 I believe?
We were 24 and the defending national champs. Imagine Duke having the 24 RPI and getting left out next year It would be a shitstorm of epic proportions. But baseball isnt big enough so it didnt garner any attention really

I still remember that. I was in complete shock. It just seemed like a joke.

We made the postseason in 2010. You have your years mixed up.

Ahh gotcha. The hog fan said 2010 so I just assumed he had looked up the year we missed the postseason. Regardless, 22 RPI and missing the tournament is a joke. Here is the link to 2011 RPI, we were 22 at selection time

To be fair you were 4 games under .500 in conference and didn't even make the SEC tourney.

Only 8 made it back then and the SEC had gotten 9 teams into the tournament before. And the 9th team had a much worse resume than LSU's 2011 resume.

But each year is different.

It looks like UF and A&M should make the top 8. LSU is going to have some trouble most likely.

Going 11-4/12-3 is harder than going 8-6/9-5 and 9-6/10-5. I fully expect UF and A&M to do so. I don;t know if LSU will or not. I don't exoect anyone else to even come close. How is that a hard concept to understand?

Are you assuming aTm takes the series vs. LSU or sweeps their final 2? Neither is likely.

ETA: Nvm. I thought there were 3 weekend series left. Either way, if LSU wins its remaining series and 3 OOC they will be a top 8 seed.

Well I didn't say top 8 seed. I said top 8 RPI which would be helpful for a top 8 seed. LSU is winning ~70% of their conference games with 16 remaining that means 11 more wins if they keep that pace. Teams slip up. Stuff happens. A&M and MU are ranked.

Holy shite we're ranked
I'd like to know the last time a team went from being ranked in the 100's to being in the top 25.
