You've already played 21 home games for baseball this season alone. Again, no one gives a flip about LSU's max attendance. We do it every year for basketball but you don't see us swinging nor dick a on here about it because as the poster above me alluded to, there's zero need to bring it up or go one about it. We've been there before and now how to act like ir.

The argument is baseball v basketball as a whole in popularity and as the numbers overwhelmingly show, basketball wins in a landslide.

We've put just shy of 70,000 asses in seats v Michigan State for a regular season basketball game. When has LSU baseball done that? I'll wait.

Sure, that's why you made three replies trying to downplay it.

Not fooled.

I don't know why he's being stubborn in this, but LSU has put 27k in the superdome for a baseball game. Nothing close to 70k but impressive nonetheless. Largest crowd ever for a college baseball game was 40k for Houston v San Diego St in 2004 at Petco. I assume this had something to do with Tony Gwynn being the coach

This isn't about lsu baseball. It's about a sport not being nearly as relevant nationally as we think it is.

Except this thread isn't about the popularity of the sport nationally. No one is denying that baseball is the least popular nationally.

While impressive, 40,000 is still less than the majors. Meanwhile, Rupp seats more than all NBA arenas.....so there's that if y'all want to have a dick measuring contest.

I think that was the first ever game played at Petco as well.

Boy are those jimmies rustled. Meanwhile, the LSU Athletic Department is busy counting all the money it gets from baseball. Which they can, since unlike baseball at many schools, LSU baseball actually turns a profit.

Again, 364,700 tickets sold is a significant accomplishment for pretty much any sport at any school. It's especially significant when considering it's for college baseball.

LSU baseball will probably always be the only college baseball program that will accomplish it. And the only one to exceed it.

doesn't that kind of reinforce what everyone else is trying to tell you in regards to college baseball's popularity?

do they not teach proper English in Kentucky. Your vague reference to Wal Mart really does nothing to me but does Kentucky have any business that can equal their revenue? Didn't think so you lose again
