I just hope our stadium had enough fans today. On Friday that was a concern for them.

Game 3 we come back from being down 6-1 in the 5th and win it 8-6 on a John Jones bottom-of-the-8th bomb over deep right center with two on.

What a comeback for the Gamecocks against Arkansas' All-American Jackson. Jones has been unconscious.

Reagan comes in to close out Arkie in the 9th, 1,2,3 ... the Gamecocks needed to be tested like this against a good team now they they seem to have their rotation worked-out and their defense in place.

Good series Arkansas ... y'all are loaded, glad we had y'all at our place this weekend to open SEC play.

Hopefully, with Aaron Fitt in attendance and given he wrote this article yesterday even before this game, (Gamecocks showing old swagger - they've got their mojo back.), this will catapult us back into the Top Ten and we'll continue to play well from here on out ... gotta go to Ole Miss next weekend.

Jackson has been pitching like arse lately. I have no clue what is wrong with him.

Good comeback win for yall, we started like shite in conference play last year and made it to the CWS, hopefully DVH will get this team to gel sooner than later.

I figured the weather was going to play into y'all's favor today with it turning chilly and all ... and then we were down 6-1 and I said to myself, well, we cannot beat Arkansas in cool or cold weather - we never have.

Today we found a way to come back.

I dunno - y'all mentioned something about Jackson not being as good this year ... have y'all changed catchers by chance?

Backup catcher was in for them today. I heard the announcers say that after he made a few stops after DTW's triple.

I knew South Carolina would be good with a ton of those bats returning, glad LSU misses them this season.

Serious question for the Arkansas fans what's been up with Keaton McKinney?

Their pitcher must have been intimidated by out crowd

Looking forward to next weekend, and watching 2 top ten squads go at each other in front of 10,000+ at Swayze Field!

Mckinney had hip surgery and hasn't fully recovered. He's been cleared 100% but he can't go very long. About 4 innings is the norm

Our top three hitters from last year, the only three that hit over .250 for the season, are gone.

It's the newbies and transfers that are hitting the ball for us this year, plus the guys that were not hitting last year appear to have worked on things during the off season.

Our pitchers appear to be much better this year as well ... I think it is more about the old swagger and confidence than it is about anybody that returned from last year's team.

Plus I think Chad Holbrook's arse is in the dugout coaching rather than being out on third base trying to run the team from there.

Had hip surgery in the offseason after pitching hurt last year. Created bad mechanics as result of the injury.
