Go by what? Simply head to head in a 6 point game? Records? Bama and AU both lost two games and both of Bama's were to BCS Bowl teams. Does he seriously believe the gap between Bama and AU is that great that he couldn't possibly imagine that someone would put Bama ahead of AU?

What's the fuss about? A lot of sportwriters have AU ranked ahead of Bama. They beat us last year and return more than we do. They should be ranked ahead in the preseason.

Well If Alabama had a miracle play they would have won, maybe if Chris Davis had fumbled and Bama picked it up? Or if they ran the Kickoff back for a TD when it was 28-28. Bottom line Bama would have needed a miracle to win.

That must be that "luck" thing people are talking about.
Like the bad luck of having a player pull up with a hammy covering a kick-off return and leaving a gap that the opposing teams returner runs right through for a critical special teams TD.
