Good. She has just as much of a right to sit as he does to stand.

If that's all they do then it shouldn't be a problem.

For the record I'd probably stand.

Nobody can make you stand. But they can surely make you wish you had. The 1st amendment applies to everyone, and it's not the only amendment.

They have a point of view and are doing something that doesn't physically harm (or even involve) anyone else.

Have at it. I'll stand, and then we'll both tell A&M to go to hell in unison.

I'm not a fan of "making" people do things when their actions aren't hurting anyone and are based on a different point of view, so we'll have to disagree.

If you can't emotionally cope with someone doing that then you are no better than the overly sensitive idiots who set up safe spaces.

Please explain

People can sit, stand, sleep, go to the bathroom, wear a hat, do whatever they chose to do. Don't tell me how to behave during the anthem or interrupt my participation and you can do what you want.

Seems like a pretty simple, "Don't tread on me" philosophy to me. But people like to pick and chose when freedom is good and when it is bad.

You are more than welcome to engage them afterwards about why they chose to do that and have a conversation about why you think it is wrong.

Denying his right to disagree. They are protesting, he opposes the protest. It's his right, right? As I posted earlier, there are more than just the 1st amendment. You can choose to nitpick, I choose to use the entire playbook.

You are more than welcome to confront them afterwards (or during if you chose) and explain why what they are doing is wrong and disrespectful. Who said you weren't?

Who is denying you that right? I'm certainly not.
