That's a lot of keystrokes for saying Alabama still has a two game regular season, FWIW.

meh I think most fans realized bama's schedule was tougher than what LSU fans were making it out to be

Only differences is LSU and Bama's schedules:

TCU vs. VT (Advantage TBD)
Florida vs. Tennessee (Advantage TBD)
Georgia vs. Kentucky (Heavy advantage Georgia)

Georgia definitely better than Kentucky but we will be playing them in the SEC championship when they are going to be much better than when yall play them next week...so...advantage bama on that one.

Usually you hope the teams on your schedule do well to increase your SOS, but I just can't wish well on Tennessee.

Hope they lose the rest of their game.

At least you don't see the Colorado School of Mimes on LSU's schedule.

Good luck with those guys.

This is dumb. Obviously the SECCG adds a quality game to the schedule. But it takes away an apples-to-apples comparison of the regular season schedules.

And this is dumb too. It's week 5 at the end of Sept., not week 1.

Virginia Tech TV W, 35-10
09/14/13 W, 49-42
09/21/13 Colorado State 6:00 p.m. CT
09/28/13 vs. Ole Miss * TV Tuscaloosa, Ala. 5:30 p.m. CT
10/05/13 vs. Georgia State Tuscaloosa, Ala. TBA
10/12/13 at Kentucky * Lexington, Ky. TBA
10/19/13 vs. Arkansas * Tuscaloosa, Ala. TBA
10/26/13 vs. Tennessee * Tuscaloosa, Ala. TBA
11/09/13 vs. LSU * Tuscaloosa, Ala. TBA
11/16/13 at Mississippi State * Starkville, Miss. TBA
11/23/13 vs. Chattanooga Tuscaloosa, Ala. TBA
11/30/13 at Auburn * Auburn, Ala. TBA

The LSU and Ole Miss game will be tough games but VT was not that hard considering they were missing like 65 of their players due to injury and suspensions. The rest of the schedule looks pretty easy to me. Tennessee might be a little bit of a challenge.

6) BCS game (top 5 team)

those games will never happen. those games could be played by any team in the SEC west, it is still undetermined. when people refer to strength of schedule they are talking about the regular season.

Exactly what I was saying. Schedule three weeks into the season means absolutely dick.

so essentially your playing one game that is definitely tougher than what we play...and all off season we heard how shitty bama's schedule was...looks like LSU's schedule is just as shitty

To be fair, I was never one to bitch about the schedule. I've always realized Georgia/Kentucky was the main difference....

Also to be fair to those who were bitching, most thought Florida was going to be much better. And who knows, maybe by mid-October when we play them, they will be. Same for TCU (jury is still out).

Did you mean "Murderer's Row"
TCU is a possible bowl team.
So are: Texas A&M, Ole Miss, bama, Georgia, Florida. That's SIX.

How many does bama have ????? Ole Miss, A&M, and LSU. That's THREE..........

Your'e missing the point. At the end of the season (not end of regular season), that's when your schedule is judged. So, just like last season when we played UGA and ND in the post-season--those wins count towards out SOS. So if Bama does run the table this year, they will have to beat 6 quality teams and several mediocre teams like AU to do it. Which completely smashes the silly LSU argument this off-season that Bama might win it again because they don't play anyone. With TCU looking like a 6-6 team and UF not much better, it is very possible Bama ends up with a tougher schedule than LSU this year. Fact. DWI.

Teams improve, I get it. But it can work both ways with injuries.

Also by your logic we will play a better Texas A&M team in November. Do we really want to nitpick every common team with regard to which week we play? What about Ole Miss September vs. Ole Miss October?

VT will win more games than TCU this year and finish ranked higher, and you can take that to the bank. VT has a legit top 10 D, maybe top 5. TCU is just hot garbage, period.
