I don't think Bama is way out ahead of anyone. I do think Saban prepares them better than most, and puts them in position to take advantage of opportunity. At the end of the day it is what it is and they play a very good brand of football, with very talented players. I hate em but I salute the accomplishments.

And 2011 was the best Bama team of all time and they lost to LSU at home and didn't win the SEC West.
I'd argue '45 and '61 were better teams.

And Bama still won. Cry for us. LSU gor Dabo'd and now the team is practically quitting on Les. Ah it is great to have "processed" another school.

You can't take much more of this can you?

We took a break, and let you muscle through that grueling SECCG and then whipped that arse. Removing ALL doubt that we were a better team tho. At least we can say that.

It's also funny hearing Bama posters say " the SEC title game is the real national title game."
You're right
You're right

Aggies are 4 touchdowns away from being back to back national champions?

Stopped reading here. That's neat. What else do you acknowledge? The earth is flat? Water is wet? You like turtles?

And LSU was nearly 1-7 in the SEC this year, including a game against the hapless Auburn Tigers.

It's still a fair statement... I guess that just means we're even better than the national champions... What does that make us?? WORLD champions? idk, help me here with what we should call it?

Rub some Vagisil on it and it'll feel better

This is not needed.
It's really not. Every team, every season has "what if's". The "what is" is that UA has done what is necessary and others haven't. I agree with the OP that there is not much of a separation. UA's games with LSU/A&M/UGA were all 1 score affairs. The biggest difference I see is that Saban seems like he is cruising along at this level and everyone else is having to swim very hard to keep up.

Tha frick? Your team may want to win one before making the claim of a "what if" scenario.

This is getting too funny now.

OP
You can judge the next team that wins 3 NC's in 4 years.
I bet that team will have a few close wins during their run. They may even have a close loss or two..
But, right now, Alabama is the best.
Not being an Alabama fan, that probably pisses you off.

I just don't understand the butthurt here. Yeah…we could have very easily lost 3 games in the regular season, but we won 2 of those 3 close games and ended up winning a national championship.
If not for the wackiest Week 15 in the history of college football, LSU's last national championship team would be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
Sometimes things happen that go your way and put you in position to win the whole thing. Similar things happened to Alabama in all 1992 and 2009, years where we went undefeated.

Do you have sand in your vagina? LSU was down 14-3 going into halftime.
Of course they did come back and put up a TD in both the third and fourth quarters but Yeldon had the screen pass with the juke for the TD against a bad LSU Blitz after they LET Bama march down the field after playing zone / prevent.
