It's turning into a USC situation like 5-6 years back when every top running back kept committing to USC thinking they were the next Reggie Bush only to inevitably transfer or see no playing time.

Yup.

With Fowler leaving, that leaves Bama with 7 rbs and a big time recruit possibly coming in to replace him.

Thats a crowded backfield.

Everyone thinks they're going to be the one to 'make it.' Coaches tell them that, too.

No they don't. They tell them that they are going to have to work and compete if they want to play. That's why when recruits talk about choosing to go to Alabama, they say that our coaches give it to the m straight and don't bullshite around.

You can't, I agree. I would want to be able to contribute to that winning, though.

Great problem to have. When we have that many RBs and the number 1 RB in the nation is still considering us, you know we are doing something right.

Until the glaring depth issue is seen and few guys head elsewhere...but kids are dumb. No reason Jones should have gone to Bama over GT. his size would have been perfect for CPJ.

Okay, well its your prerogative to believe what comes straight out of recruits mouths or not.

and in that case, we will still be fine.

He will be a senior next year. His days of being a RB are done though. Will be a full time FB/HB in the spring.

Whatever makes you feel better.

If the coaches were honest with them they would have cast at least one of them loose before signing day. There was never any chance all of them got to play, and now they wasted a year of Kamara's career.

Well, he wasted a year all on his own. He should have known better, but again - coaches.

Actually it would be 10...with Scarborough coming in.

So is that 1 FB(Fowler) and 9 rbs(Y, D, T, H, H, K, J, S, F)

I am just passing along what recruits say about our coaches.

quote:

So you are saying that our coaches should have said "you'll never be good enough, go to a different school!" That is dumb.

He has 4 more years to do something at Alabama, pipe down dude.
