There were a whole hell of a lot of people in Louisiana wanting to hire Ed Orgeron for the full time job because of his accent and birthplace. And our administration would've definitely caved to the pressure.

It took this performance to wake them the frick up.

So screw you for being you, but kind of thanks for making people realize Ed O can't be the guy in Baton Rouge. That would have been an absolute disaster.

Agreed. I'm not sold and likely won't be.

I also never wanted LSU to hire Grimes. He routinely recruited well at his previous stops, but continuously his lines greatly under performed

Makes sense. Our administration is a joke, which is why I am terrified of Alleva running a coaching search. He'll still frick it up, just watch.

He's just not a good OL coach it appears.

Good recruiter and gets nothing out of the talent.

I hope he is the guy in Baton Rouge. New offense and oc will be beautiful! He's a great leader and coach. I like him.

You claim to be a LSU fan, but are happy with tanking the season just so Orgeron cannot get the job. Yeah, I see it now, you really do support Gary Johnson. fricking LOSER

I told multiple people this after the game. Even if Coach O does end up being the coach, it allows him to be considered objectively. I don't think he should be the next HC and I think LSU can do much better. I get that it'd be hard not to hire him if he ended up winning out.

So he can get 5% of the popular vote and legitimize a third party, which would be huge to erode the grid lock in Washington. Libertarians are conservatives when it comes to fiscal policy as well.

Most of us are voting in states where it doesn't matter who we vote for, Trump will win. Its not like Gary can win.

Bama was actually trying to thread that needle and get the win + plus keep it close enough that LSU might roll with Orgeron anyway. It was a long shot - are you telling us it didn't work?

He had 2 weeks to prepare for Bama and we looked horrendous. Not just the offense, but the organization, sideline communication, etc.

It was a terrible coaching job outside of Dave Aranda.

Orgeron was 3-21 in the SEC at Ole Miss and 0-8 in his last year when he had "his players" and "his coaches". Dale Nutt then took that same team to a Cotton Bowl victory the next year.

The correlation between Trumpkins and people who want to hire Orgeron is pretty interesting

Was talking about this while tailgating on Saturday

No what was good was for the bosses in Louisiana who actually got work done from some of the l6u fans who aren't talking crap today like they did for the last two weeks. Board has been real quiet today.

I have been going back and forth on this one. I think it really is going to be based on what LSU's mindset is going into the game. I know Bert is going to have the players fired up after this last weekend. It isn't going to be easy to move that ball on the LSU defense and defense needs to play like it did this past weekend.
