We fire Les then go on to set school records on offense every year?

Fournette only broke those runs because we set them up with the pass.

LSU has a better chance now that playcalling is more balanced, but yes Bama should still be considered the favorite here no doubt.

LSU fans not knowing how to read doesn't surprise me. You ought to quote the second part, too.

LSU is relevant, gonna beat Bama and then Bama tramples LSU.

I hope so, an opportunistic point scoring defense revels at the thought. If LSU comes out trying to throw the ball around the yard then the game will be over at the half. Your offensive line will not hold up against the Alabama pass rush. If Orgeron is smart then the first 3-4 drives will look like a Les Miles offense. LSU has to try to establish the run, even if it isn't working, or it will be a long night. Etling is going to get hit. Auburn got to him 4 times, bama rushes the passer better than Auburn and everyone else.

but "old" LSU would've made an absolute mess of the last 3 games

How would "Old" LSU have made a mess of Mizzou (who just lost to MTSU), Southern Miss (who lost to Texas San Antonio right before they played LSU), and Ole Miss (who lost to an Arky team that got their brains beat in a week later)?

"Old" Lsu would be 3-0 in those same games. LF7 would have run for a billion yards under Miles too. LSU looks improved and is doing some things differently, sure, but let's not act like you've played really tough competition the last 3 games.

Ole Miss, So Miss, and Mizzou are a combined 9-12 on the season.

LSU beating Ole Miss and their RB going off works perfectly in to Saban and Bama's hands, in my opinion. For 2 weeks, all we're gonna hear about is LF7 (just like the last 2 years). How LSU is improved. How the game is in Baton Rouge, etc. etc.

2 weeks of that.
Good luck, LSU. Sweet dreams.

We would not have beaten Ole Miss with Miles. So let's move on.

Fair, and certainly with Miles it would have been doom for LSU. Now LSU is being a lot more balanced and a lot of guys are touching the ball. Not great chance to win if it happens but if Bama stuffs #7 there is now hope LSU will at least try something else this time.

Stop, holy shite.

Optimism is one thing but damn...I can't smack talk or beat my chest until we get another W against Bama. And I don't think it is happening this year.

I honestly think that unless Etling gets some CRISPR Gene modification to add Joe Montana/Tom Brady hybrid DNA to his genetic makeup, Bama's D will be feasting on his 15+yrd passes.

I honestly do not think that LSU's O-line can match Sabans Defensive Scheme. The 3 down lineman and rushing 5 with 2 guys stunting on what seems every other play is going to give LSU trouble.

The only positive is that LSU's defense can keep Hurt in the pocket and make him pass. If that happens we have a slim chance. But like I said IF.

what? Seriously? You ran the ball 36 times and passed it 28 times. That's a 55/45 run to pass ratio. Doubt it would have been different with Miles.

I agree we would still be 3-0. But USM and Mizzou would not have been offensive record setting 35 point beat downs, and Ole Miss game would have probably come down to some last minute BS. Let us have some hope ok?

So when we first fired Miles it was LSU won't be bowl eligible, then we were going to get blasted by an Ole Miss team that was awesome, and now we won't be able to compete with Bama.

No. Bama fans have been saying you can't compete with Bama for years. There's nothing new. You're L5U. Soon to be L6U.

Exactly. I don't talk shite about LSU because they've beaten us the last few years. So why waste my breath? I hope we win this year, but I don't expect to.

Why any LSU fan would feel confident going in against Alabama, a team that is just dragging everyone around, makes no sense.

Most schizophrenic fan base is definitely LSU. Some good, consistent posters who hang out even when LSU is bad, but then there's this influx every time you guys win a game.

Well, the ratio would have been 70/30. DWI.

They need medication.
