It only counts where a team finishes a season ranked. Look at USC this year...so if you beat USC when they were number 1 you would still say you beat the #1 team even though they go 7-5 and finish unranked? Great logic.

Murray is the nation's most efficient passer. He has played 2 ranked teams. His stats in those games are below.
SC 11-31-109 yds 0 tds 1 int
FL 12-24-150 yds 1 td 3 ints
Those are not impressive stats from the nation's leader in passing efficiency.
A.J. McCarron is 22-2 as a starter.
Aaron Murray is 1-10 against ranked teams.
I think the trends favor Bama. I expect a good game. GA has tremendous talent but I think they are like the Bama team of 2010. A talented, but individual agenda driven group of individuals rather than a cohesive, unified team.

No but you would still count it as a win over a ranked team. Let's say in your scenario he beats USC at #1 and then the next game Barkley tears and acl and is out for the year and they finish unranked. Does that not count? Great logic.
It matters about when they play.

My post was correct. You may argue that it was incomplete.

That is the horse you are betting on. I'll take my chances with the QB who is 3rd in the nation in passing efficiency (McCannon), and that team with the weak secondary.

I think this as well.. It will be difficult seeing as how AM chokes in games that matter.

I have to say if BAMA and UGA both play their A game then BAMA wins by 2 td's. Their O-line is very good and can run the ball on anyone.UGA is highly overrated every yr and seem to dodge the 3 best teams in the SEC the last two yrs. I'm sorry but i dont think Georgia can hang if McCarron and o-line play like they are capable of!! Murray may carve up Bama's secondary a little but not enough to hang with them.

Everyone knows that LSU is the best team in the west. Bama got lucky and beat you in the last minute, and you beat Texas AM who beat Bama.
You clearly deserve a title shot. Your team, your players, your program, they are better than what the numbers show.
You should be in the SEC championship against South Carolina.
