Name one year in history of NCAA that people have called it the playoffs. Typical Bama fan. Not used to making the tourney so don't even know what to call it

Bama has made the tournament plenty of times. We also have a commanding head to head record against LSU in basketball and have a lot more overall wins. So there's that.

Lsu= 21 tournament appearances
24 wins-24 losses
5 x tournaments in last 15 yrs

UA= 20 tournament appearances
21 wins - 20 losses
6 x tournaments in last 15 yrs

Just curious. How the hell does a team have more tournament losses than tournament appearances in a single elimination tournament?

They don't. His won-loss records for both teams are clearly wrong. Unless a team wins the title (which neither LSU nor Bama have done), the number of losses MUST exactly match the number of tournament appearances.

ETA: By my count, Bama is 20-20. Not going to bother doing LSU's numbers

I doubt this is the case, but it IS possible. In distant years past, for both the NCAA final four and NIT - there was a consolation game before the championship game for the two respective losers in the final fours. Thus, it was possible to earn two losses in the tournament.

But, this was a long time ago and it would have been quite rare.

Please dude. You haven't even made a final four in history. 1 elite 8. I'm proud of you for pointless trips. A whole one trip to tourney in 10 years

Ironic coming from a a little brother who's used to having losing streaks against certain teams.

Did an LSU fan call an Alabama fan "little brother"?
What is happening in this world? Baton Rouge selling drugs again?

This is rich.

LSU fan brings up tournament appearances for BBall = Yay LSU.
Bama fan brings up championships in football = Bama delusional.

I love LSU fans. You're kinda retarded but in a fun, awwww your sad, way.

They should be giddy. They came into our place and got a big win that they needed to have for the NCAA.

LSU has participated in four Final Fours in its basketball history - 1953, 1981, 1986, and 2006. Their all time final four record is 0-6, including third place losses in 1953 and 1981.

After 1981, the NCAA no longer had a "consolation" game for third place.

We should be giddy. Avery Johnson is winning games less talent than most teams in the SEC and shorthanded with Ingram being hurt all year. Beaten more ranked teams this year than Grant did his entire tenure here. Have a great recruiting class coming in. Winning tough SEC road games. Goddamn right we're giddy!
